We drove into Charleston with no reservations. Inquired at the Doubletree on rates - we got any available room for a walk in rate of $109. The locaton is fabulous - next to the market and in walking distance of everything in the historic district. We had an executive suite which was very lovely. I'm not sure why it's a... more

Thank you for your review of our hotel and we are thrilled to learn your visit with us was an enjoyable one. Thank you for feedback on our restaurant reccomendation as well. Hank's Seafood is my personal favorite seafood restaurant in the city, and, especially for it's fresh caught seafood selections and, seasonal locally grown vegetables. Hank's seafood is the...

The location of the Doubletree simply cannot be beat. You are steps away from the market, right off the heart of meeting street, only a few blocks from the most of the main tourist sites... truly great. Our room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was informative and the breakfast buffet tasty. The only real negative is the... more

Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to see you enjoyed your stay overall at our hotel. Parking is at a premium in Charleston, Recently, on a trip to New York, parking was at over $60 per night! Our limited parking in the city of Charleston mirrors limited parking in cities such as that. While parking is at a...

What a wonderful surprise to find ourselves in such a great place in the middle of Charleston. The suites were large, comfortable and incredibly well maintained. The staff in the hotel were unfailingly helpful and the Valet parking team were superb...always ready to help and with marvellous suggestions about where to eat and what to visit. Charleston is everything I... more

The location of this Doubletree can't be beat! It is right in the middle of the historic district and is so convenient. The trouble I had was I went to make coffee in my room and there was a roach in the coffee pot. I never did feel like my room was very clean. I called the management and he... more

Hotel uses eco friendly cleaning products and no strong air fresheners. Bed was extremely comfortable. I am chemically sensitive and have allergies, and I was afraid I would react to hotel smells and cleaning fumes, but I had no problems. This is also one of the few hotels in charleston that windows can be opened in the rooms if need... more

Thank you for your review. I am thrilled to see our efforts to be as green as possible are paying off and customers like you appreciate these efforts. Being in a historically sensitive area (adjacent to the City Market) we do our level best to preserve the local structure, and, to remain environmentally aware. I know of no other hotel...

The Doubletree has the perfect location---within walking distance of the market, dozens of great restaurants, shopping, and the Battery. We had a two-level room. The lower level had a wet bar and seating area which was nice. The bathroom and sleeping areas were upstairs. It was a tight fit upstairs. Overall, a great hotel in the historic district. I was... more

My family stayed here and the rooms were quite large and more than enough space for the three of us to stay comfortable. The is located in the middle of everything. We valeted our car and didn't touch it again until we checked out. Everyone was so gracious and helpful and always welcomed us with a smile. We loved having... more

I had a business trip planned to Charleston which another party had to cancel. I called the hotel to cancel my reservation about 36 hours before I was due to check in and explained the situation. I was aware of the 48 hour cancellation policy ahead of time, but think it is fairly unreasonable to charge a full night's stay... more

We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, which was the perfect size for our family of 4. The hotel is right in the middle of all the best that downtown Charleston has to offer - we easily walked everywhere. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and professional. Loved this hotel! more

Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to write a review on our hotel. The entire staff is pleased you enjoyed your stay. Coincidentally, we have the largest suites on the Peninsula which no doubt allowed for your comfort and allowed you to have a separate room for the children. Please return soon to our historic market...
