Hotel is in attractive location next to a marina. Free parking; about five minutes drive to downtown Charleston. (Would be difficult to walk the distance given hotel’s site right off major roadway.) I did not care for the design of the main entrance. You had a choice of going up an elevator, which took FOREVER, or going up a flight of stairs to the second floor. We expected more. We booked through the 800 Marriott number, and were assured they had a harbor view. But when we arrived, put on the highway side. Hotel was clean, parking free, and staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of marina... BUT this hotel is WAY overpriced! (1) King bed with sofa couch, no fridge, no M-wave, only two towels, remote did not work. It is not worth the $210 a night price. sorry...will not stay there again at the price. I've stayed at a few Courtyards and this is by far the nicest. Very very nice common areas and spacious rooms. Free wireless. Good (and reasonably priced) breakfast. Nice location close to downtown area. Free parking. Good value in Charleston. more
