My family and I tend to seek out historic properties when traveling. I'm always hoping the accommodations will be as described; however, Bloomsbury Inn far exceeded our expectations. Ture perfection! I don't know exactly where to start….the house is in perfect condition, the room was well appointed and clean as well as comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast and tablescape were... More

Though our stay was only one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Katherine and Bruce were friendly and gracious. Their knowledge of the area was entertaining. Seeing their book, and listening to their stories of the renovation of the property was very interesting. They accommodated our early departure time by providing us with a delicious breakfast to go. We felt... More

Bloomsbury, is by far, one of the loveliest Inns we have ever stayed in. Being from New England, we have had an opportunity to stay in quite a few. Being interested in Civil War history, and visiting historic places, we found that Camden is the perfect spot to learn new facts. The Innkeepers priority is the guest! First and foremost!!... More

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Bloomsbury while visiting Camden for the Carolina Cup and our stay at the Inn turned out to be the highlight of our weekend. To start, the property is a stunning historic property on a quiet street surrounded by historic homes and close to both downtown Camden and the Equestrian facility. Our room was... More

On our way home from visiting family in Columbus, GA, we were looking for something out of the ordinary. We found it. Set in an exquisite antebellum house on a quiet tree lined street, surrounded by historic homes, this is one of the best we have stayed in. Katherine and Bruce Brown are great hosts who take pride in allowing you to enjoy the charm and beauty of an old Southern mansion, maintained in a style fitting its heritage. Arrive by 5:30pm so that you don't miss the hospitality hour on the front porch. Breakfast... More

Heading for the Camden, SC area from Pinehurst, NC took slightly over two hours, passing the Rockingham NASCAR track and IHRA dragstrip on the way. The answer to our quest to find a unique place to stay was The Bloomsbury Inn. The owners, Bruce and Katherine, have lovingly brought this antebellum home back from decay to a wonderful inn that... This inn exceeded every expectation we had. The innkeepers are amazing and when we left-they felt like life long friends. The food was out of this world. The accomodations were absolutely beautiful. They anticipated every need. We even had a fascinating tour of the home. This is a MUST visit.
