This is a very old motel that will take you out of the mold of Holiday Inn, etc. Unfortunately, it is sorely in need of updating and renovation. It needs paint, new and more secure door locks, remodeling (We were in a first floor room), and some mechanical work on the cooling system. Windows to the back yard were open... More

This is an old motel, refurbished but still a little funky. I understand the upstairs rooms might be more thoroughly refurbished, but they're not in use off-season. Service was good -- The desk closes at 8PM and opens at 8AM, but they made it workable for me to arrive late and depart early.

what had been a nice locally owned and operated inn, seems to have become an inflexible management. rooms are big and light, but the room we had smelled badly of smoke, altho the sign on the door said no smoking. we had worked with the inn to arrange lodging for at least 10 other rooms, but when 5 days ahead... Fran, we apologize about the "inflexibility" you ran into with you reservation in November of 2014. We have cancellation policies so that we still have time to rent rooms, not to be inflexible with guests. This policy is told to them on the phone and e-mailed with their confirmation. If someone was abrupt with explaining this to you after the... More

Very nice place to stay. Heading south on Boston Neck Rd, there are very tall trees in front of the hotel, which is on the left. Pay attention when you get close or you may drive by as I did. Just called them for directions and the very pleasant clerk stayed on the phone with me til I pulled into... More

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Just want to let you know we have purchased all new flat screen TV's to replace in rooms where the smaller old TV's were. More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights (10/11 and 10/12 2014). Room 30. My first impression upon entering was that the king bed took up half of this small room. The refrigerator was connected by an extension cord stretched above the floor to behind the dresser. One had about a 20 inch space to get around the bed... More

Arrived late, checked in and went to dinner without checking room first. When we got to room it smelled musty and moldy. Turned on window air conditions in living room and bedroom and the bedroom air conditioner smelled like it was going to catch on fire. Went to office to change rooms but they were closed for the night (they... More

We stayed here while visiting relatives. It's a nice old-fashioned motel -no WiFi, I didn't turn the TV on to know what the stations were- with a big clean room, sitting area, little deck, and a spacious bath. Everything was clean. If you were staying in the area for an extended vacation it would be an excellent place to stay... More

This place is really cute and adorable. From the front desk, nice grounds with all the moon flowers, very clean room, and a nice sense of tranquility. Just outside the front door are beautiful moon flower plants, 2 bird feeders abounding with birds, bird bath, and even 2 small bowls for peanuts for the squirrels. There is a restaurant on... More

Couldn't get a room at the Holiday or Hampton Inn's for move in day at URI. Found this little gem in the south county guidebook. Great price on a holiday weekend. Immaculate. Room with 2 queen beds was huge. Was great for this sort of event.

I was looking for a place to stay close to Newport, RI without the high prices & found Hamilton Village Inn. It's not on the water & since I was only there for one night, I didn't get to explore the area. For $89 you get a clean, quiet room which is a throwback to old roadside motels. The pink... More
