A no-frills motel. We had a comfortable and clean room with two double beds. Rates assume double occupancy - $10 extra per child. Can't really complain. more

We discovered the Anchor Motel on-line and it was exactly what we expected. No frills but very clean, on-site owner was very nice and we were just a few feet from a beautiful beach. We spent our days on the beach and the evenings enjoying great seafood just a few minutes away, all at very reasonable prices. The area is... more

My wife, her parents and I stayed in "Bed and Breakfast" side of the motel, which is actually the bottom floor of the home where the proprietor lives with his family. There are two rooms with a common area between the rooms. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were... more

The Motel was clean, the owner was there on site, and is litteraly a super guy. A 350 foot walk to the waters edge. The sand is groomed every evening. Plenty of places to eat within 5 minutes of motel. Block island ferry is about 5 miles away. Route 108, which is 1/2 mile down the road has plenty of malls... more

Couldn't have been better just what I imagined a motel would be. Exceptionally clean, right across from the beach. Gene, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful, even took a phone message from our daughter in England and put a note under our door. Coffee and doughnuts in the morning looking at the Ocean, who could ask for more more

The Anchor was awesome! Right across from the beach and close to town. Slightly dated but immaculately clean. The owners, Gene and his wife, were very nice and really helpful throughout our stay. It's not the Ritz but we would highly recommend it for a great weekend at the beach! more

The positive reviews here are right on target -- The Anchor was great. It's clean and literally across the street from Scarborough Beach, a great spot. For a motel it's hard to beat this place. more
