A snowstorm that made travel impossible kept us from keeping our reservation. But when we called that morning to see about canceling our room, the front desk manager couldn't have cared less. Her message was, in essence: "Tough luck. Unless you cancel seven days in advance, you lose your deposit." So, $110 poorer, I'll spend my money at another hotel... More

I recently had a cancelled Ferry to Block Island. I was stranded on the main land. Usually I would stay at a B&B, but ever since I stumbled upon The Village Inn I have forever changed my mind. The staff there were warm and friendly. I learned about a Deal for Block Islanders who get stuck and they kindly discounted... More

Went deep sea fishing out of Galilee - Pt. Judith last Saturday (Jan 3) and stayed overnight at the Village Inn so that I could get up bright and early to be on board at 5AM when the boat left the dock. There was no clock of any type in the room, so I called the desk and asked for... More

I previously reviewed this hotel in 2011 and noted its basic but adequate accommodations. I am sorry to report that the hotel has taken a turn for the worse since then. They've discontinued the free breakfast. The hotel is in disrepair. The common areas are run down and dirty. The rooms don't seem to receive any maintenance or attention.Staff stated that... More

... scheduled for some renovation, as told to me at the desk. Super location... clean, great beds, all amenities... well recommended. There are two fine restaurants in the same building, and there is a always music on the deck in the Summer time.

The Village Inn is in an awesome spot for tourists in Narragansett. It's a shame that it's the only hotel in the pier as it is extremely outdated. It's clean, but you can also tell its had 20+ years of guests in it. It's redciulous that they can get away with charging as much as they do for a 3... More

My husband and I were married just down the street in May 2014 and had a block of rooms here and at a hotel down the street...the majority of our guests opted to stay here as it was within walking (or stumbling) distance from the wedding reception. The hotel is not great...it's apparent that it needs some TLC...I would have... More

We were in town for the annual Blessing of the Fleet road race and seeking a place as close as possible to the site of the race. The Village Inn certainly fit the bill, since it's located opposite the finish line. We were pleasantly surprised about the room. It was very clean, had a nice bed and large bathroom, with... More

Wow! The Village Inn is located across the street from the oceanfront. Once you cross the street from the inn, you can take a nice walk on the beach or on the sidewalk adjacent to the beach. When we entered the hotel lobby, we were not that impressed by the inn. That is, it is dated. We were greeted warmly... More

We had most of the rooms booked for our daughter's wedding. It's clean. Convenient to the lovely area of Narragansett. Has a restaurant on site w outside seating and bar. Water view rooms are nice. It's an older hotel that could use some indoor painting, but I would definately stay here again. They have an indoor pool. Fridges & microwaves... More
