My daughter had her wedding at the Village Inn 3 years ago and while it was an older hotel it was ok. Now after renovations I found it a joke and would never go back again. Upon arrival the were no dressers until I asked the desk to get one so we could unpack. The bed was comfortable but we... More

I spent the weekend of July 24th at this place. It appeared that it was still going through a renovation and what had been renovated was done by very poor workmanship. My room was very dark as I only had a glass door leading out to a one person balcony for light. I've never stayed at a place that didn't... More

My husband and I are not high-maintenance; as long as a room is clean, comfortable, and quiet, we are perfectly happy. Unfortunately, Village Inn (now Aqua Blue) was none of those. In town for a friend's wedding, he suggested VI/AB in early 2015 because of its proximity to the event, but online reviews were poor at best. While late winter... More

The night before we left, my friend and I debated whether to give the Village Inn a “Poor” or “Terrible”, but when we woke up the morning we were supposed to leave and the shower wouldn’t get any warmer than “luke warm” the decision became clear. To start, we reserved a room with two queens 6 months ago, but when... More

The hotel is in a fantastic location. It is close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. But...the hotel itself is very strange. I understand that it is under construction, but it seems like the start a project and never finish it. For example, my room wasn't finished. The doors to the cabinet/counter which held the microwave, garbage and refrigerator had... More

We were visiting URI for our daughter's orientation and found this hotel to stay in. I actually really liked the place, the only issues I had were related to the renovations. It was clean, and the guys behind the front desk were very nice and friendly, and very helpful about the local area. As for the renovations, clearly they were... More

Staying at the Village Inn (now called Aqua Blue) was the worst hotel experience we have ever had! We were in town for a wedding and booked (and paid for) the room nearly a year ahead of time. A week before the wedding the bride told us to reconfirm as the hotel was undergoing a renovation and name change. First,... More

I stayed May 29-31, was there for a wedding and made the reservations several months prior. When I made the reservations, I picked this hotel since the activities and wedding was all within walking distance and I didn't wave to worry about walking. When the reservations were made, nor any prior to arrival was I notified that major renovations were... More
