Great value and great service. The entire staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a complete pleasure. Our room was spacious and clean and we had a great view of the beach - not to mention free parking and a complimentary continental breakfast. We're looking forward to coming back - again. more

While we had a great weekend overall (we loved the beach) we were not thrilled with the hotel. Thankfully the weather was nice so we didn't have to stay in the room much but if the weather was bad we probably would have checked out. Location was great but that's it. I would describe it as a beach hotel -... more

This place has a few things going for it. It's close to the beach, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the showers are AWESOME... but... When we arrived, we were turned off by a foul moldy stench in the lobby. I'm not sure how the front desk staff can stand it. The elevator -- I don't know how... more

Room was nice enough for a beach hotel - fairly rudimentary decor, with a nice view. Did benefit from a fridge, and a microwave. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Nothing wrong with this hotel; but it is in need of updating in the rooms and hallways. Not a full service hotel, but, the desk clerk's were fairly pleasant. We... more

the hotel was clean and comfortable with plenty of free parking. the outdoor patio bar over looking the beach was very casual.I really enjoyed the complimentary coffee and continental breakfast every morning also the ease of going to Newport and Block island ferry. What i didnt enjoy was that you had to pay $ 5.00 Daily to walk on the... more

Village Inn is a simple beach hotel - nothing fancy; but very clean, perfect location, friendly staff and comfortable beds. The hotel is right across the street from the beach and our room had a great view of the beach. The rooms were nice - nothing super posh but were clean, comfortable and recently updated. The staff were incredibly helpful... more

Love this hotel! The staff is absolutely fantastic and the views are amazing. We were shooting a TV show in Narragansett and had crew members staying at the hotel for over 3 months. The staff treated us like kings and queens...nobody wanted to leave! We were here through the winter... I can only image how incredible it is over the... more

I booked a room for a weekend, we were participating in a 5K that the Hotel was sponsoring. It looked so lovely on the web, I made it a long weekend. When we checked in, I asked about the race, and the snippy desk clerk said he knew nothing about the race we must be confusing this hotel with another.... more

First of all the Village Inn spent over $200,000 in hotel reservation over the past year so it's far from a DUMP. Second we never sponsored this race,a meal was offered by the restaurant adjacent to the hotel not the hotel. The guest toke part in the Stay and Dine Package and ordered more wine than the package offered thus the...

We took a chance and stayed here even though some of the reviews were bad. Yes the hotel is older and the hallways are dated, but the rooms are nicely updated, clean and the ocean view (rm 219 thru 225) was gorgeous of the Narrangansett Bay and area. Our service was great and the included dinner at the restaurant was... more

As I previously stated, we did a return visit. Most of the renovations were done (still had some lingering paint smell). The staff was very nice and helpful. Room was redone with new bedspreads and TV's. Very quiet at night ( but it is offf season). Overall a nice place to stay. Bathroom very clean. Not very fancy, but all... more
