We had a fantastic time at the Richards. This B&B is perfectly situated to see Narragansett by bike or car and also to drive to all the amazing surrounding areas, including Newport. The house and grounds are spectacular -- literally a piece of Narragansett history. And the proprietors are wonderful hosts who take the time to provide you insights on... More

My wife and I stayed with The Richards again over the 4th of July, spending 4 nights there. Its become almost an annual tradition. The rooms were spacious and charming, as always. This time we experienced the Lavender room. It has a antique clawfoot tub, and a modern shower. It also has a separate sitting room. Breakfast was topnotch.. and... More

We arrived at The Richards late on a rainy Thursday evening, looking for last-minute accommodation for a 3-day stay. Our AirBnB rental had turned out to be a place where we simply could not stay, and on a busy graduation and wedding weekend, we lucked out when we contacted Nancy, who had had a last minute cancellation. She invited us... More

Thanks to a last minute cancellation, we were able to get a Queen room at this beautiful B&B, which was recommended to us as the "best B&B in Narragansett." The house is beautiful, the room we had was clean, comfortable and perfect for a B&B. And the breakfast was fabulous. The first day, we had fresh muffins, pancakes, sausage, a... More

We spent two nights at The Richards this past weekend and found it to be absolutely delightful. Where do I start? - Mary and Steven are wonderful hosts - quite charming and a wealth of local information. - The house is a treasure - it is beautifully furnished, clean, and comfortable - Breakfasts were delicious - fresh muffins each day,... We stayed at the Lavender Room in The Richards this weekend and found it a beautiful and very comfortable home, and that Nancy was a very gracious host - it was all that was advertised and more. Unlike some of the other reviewers, we actually stayed there, and find it puzzling that someone can have the nerve to post a... More

It's mid-week and I am still thinking about the great weekend we just spent in Narragansett. Our stay at The Richards was beyond expectation. It is a beautiful home, very historical, large rooms, very clean and attractive. Beautiful lace curtains on the windows fluttered in the breeze. The breakfasts were out of this world - peach muffins one morning with... More

This place was spectacular! i cant understand how anyone could say anything bad about this place (unless of-course you haven't actually stayed there and ignorantly reviewed it based on a "phone call") As far as hosts go, Nancy and Steve were unbelievably accommodating, friendly, and helpful. we booked the Richards for our wedding this past weekend, the rooms were large,... I have never written a Trip Advisor review before, but I was so upset about what happened with the people who own the Richards, I felt I had to come on here and share it. I had come to Trip Advisor to look for a great B&B in Narragansett (one of my favorite places on earth) and I obviously came... More

While in search for simply clean and comfortable accommodations for two couples, we were pleasantly surprised with a truly wonderful two bedroom suite. This B&B provides beautiful, emphatically clean, and relaxing accommodations. Nancy's gardens are beautiful. Owners, Nancy and Stephen Richards--were very friendly and helpful hosts. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every moment.
