The house is huge, historically listed and beautiful - we felt very private even though 3 of the 4 bedrooms were occupied. We also had the run of the house and garden which made for a unique experience. The garden is spectacular and is part of the local "garden tour" event - we were able to enjoy it for free... More

My husband and I decided to take a last minute vacation to narragansett. We were able to book two nights at the Richards House. Soon after arriving we went out into the gardens with wine we brought with us. It was probably the most peaceful, enjoyable experience I've had in a while.. the grounds are gorgeous. The house and furnishings... More

I was in need of some serious R&R, after a difficult personal experience and before I returned to my high stress job of teaching elementary special education. I found just what I needed at The Richards. Nancy and Steven were welcoming, fun, personable and understand the right amount of input. The historic house has gorgeous gardens, interesting collectibles and beautifully... More

A perfect stay! We have stayed in many B&Bs over the years. For us, there are three things that make for a great stay- a clean room, a comfortable bed, and quiet. Anything over these is just icing on the cake. The Richards far exceeded our requirements in all three categories and then topped it off with fantastic breakfasts served... More

We loved our weekend here. The owners are really nice, welcoming people. The house itself is a beautiful, an old stone home (built in the late 1800s) and the grounds outside the house are nicely maintained with flowers all around. We found the house to be extremely clean and quiet. Each morning, we were treated to home cooked breakfasts which... More

Beautiful, spacious accommodations in a large antique home coupled with attentive and gracious hosts makes a stay at The Richards both restful and delightful. Breakfast is served at 8:45 and it is always something wondrous and savory. We were there for 4 nights and had a different fruit salad each morning, a signature muffin, and then came the entree, baked... More

It was my first time in Narragansett for summer vacation. Stayed at The Richards, and I must say, the experience was so wonderful. Nancy and Steven are very warm and welcoming people. Always a pleasure to talk to them. Their home is so beautifully maintained that it makes you want to come back to it! Not only on the outside... More

Just finished a wonderful six days at this gorgeous Bed and Breakfast and if you are looking for a romantic getaway this is it! The mansion is spectacular. Nancy and Steven, the owners are fun and so interesting. We stayed in the Blue Room which is airy and has a huge private bath. The breakfast that Nancy magically creates is... More
