Just returned from our second stay at the Inn at Villalon and will not be returning. Stayed here a year ago and was very impressed with the Inn overall. I didn't really enjoy this inn. The room was very dated and alittle dirty. Also after checkin we never saw the owners again. The Inn at Villalon is a wonderfully restored mansion with a fascinating history that reaches as far back as the 1800's (make sure you ask Claudia about its past over breakfast--she's a marvellous storyteller). We found "The Inn" via the local visitor information centre. The inn, set in landscaped gardens, was stunning. the new owners Stefan and Claudia made us very welcome. After booking and given our door access codes, we were treated to a great chat on the local sights, including resteraunts and most importantly free car parking in the town of Newport.... more

This place is a GEM! The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and very romantic. In addition, the innkeepers, Stefan & Claudia, are really terrific & make your stay perfect.
