This is definitely a low-rent motel. Our room had a dirty, stained carpet, old stained furniture, and had an unusual, unpleasant smell. The bathroom was partially remodeled. We had basic starch for breakfast. We would have moved on, but it was late and we were tired. We were eager to leave in the morning.

I give this no circle rating! We were on an extended trip with this being our second stop to help our Grandson celebrate his graduation from Officer's Candidate School. I paid $382.00 for 2 rooms for our family. We found a gold bracelet on the bathroom floor along with a lot of hair. There was hair in the wash cloth... More

Our intentions were not to stay the night in RI but 5pm came too soon too fast and driving back to NY no longer sounded like a great idea. We reserved a King size bed through the Visitor Center in Newport, RI. It was the only place within our budget but definitely not worth what we paid. For another $50... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was booked by an organization we were working with. The room had dead bugs on two walls. The floor lamp shade was barely attached. The furniture was beat up. There were cigarette holes in the blankets and stains on the pillows (blood). The one pillow was so disgusting when I looked under the... More

Stayed here while visiting Newport last weekend for three reasons (1) It's one of the few places in the area that will allow a one-night stay on the weekend. (2) It's cheap (3) location to downtown Newport. We were given the room right next to the door for the front desk. It was loud being that we were right on... More

We needed a room to stay during the Newport Jazz Festival. Initially we had planned to stay with friends, but plans fell through and I had to look for a room. One of the only places with a vacancy was this Rodeway Inn and now I know why. At $152 a night (jacked up for fesitval weekend, I'm sure) I... More

Fifties style motel under slow renovation, so that there are nicely tiled surrounds to tired tubs, newly painted doors with splintery bottoms, and a used linen bin in the middle of the hallway. All of this would have been endurable since we only needed a place to sleep while attending the Folk Festival, however the low price drew a gang... More

Very clean and private. I was hesitant to stay here a second time after seeing all of the negative reviews. The room was spotless and the air conditioner was great! Don't understand all of the negative reviews. It is a little out dated and after speaking with the owner he told me they are in the process of re-modeling and... More

We wanted just a basic hotel close to Newport for one night...chose to stay with Choice Hotels for the points. I should have read the reviews before booking. The room smelled and the doorknob in the bathroom fell off in my hand. The "front desk" made me feel like I was in someone's house as they were playing their music... More

This is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed. The room had stains all over the carpet. The paint on the walls is so old and faded. The sheets on the bed were so thin you could see through them. The bath was rusty and stained. The Free breakfast I wouldn't feed to an animal.
