Missing the beat on the pool not being as clean as it should be - but otherwise good. Had business in Portsmouth, RI so the location was good and not as expensive as the full-on Newport area. People were nice - am breakfast people very pleasant and accommodating.

Have never experienced the level of noise from an adjoining room in my past 30 years of traveling. We might as well have joined the party next door at 11:30 pm for the amount of sound deadening between our rooms. In desperation called management after midnight which I have never ever done and they promptly rang the room next door... More

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at the Newport Middletown Courtyard Marriott. I was sorry to hear you had a loud group in the adjoining room - we will be sure to increase our security rounds and quiet guests before they disturb another room moving forward. I was also sorry... The place was great. The location was easy to get it, and only a few minute ride out of the main area in Newport. The hotel itself was really clean, updated, and safe. The rooms were great, and I loved the wallpaper! The beds were SOOO comfortable and did not want to get up the next morning. I also am... More

I've stayed in lots of Courtyards, this one, while like the others, had a terrific staff and nice comfortable rooms. I only gave it three stars because I found the bathroom not to be as clean as I usually get in a Courtyard - the tub/shower was not cleaned well, there were some spots on the bathroom floor and a... I still think they charge too much for the location but this is a very clean, nicely decorated hotel. It's about 10 minutes from the Newport Mansions and shopping. We literally just slept here. When you consider that the hotels closer or in Newport run $400-500 a night, this is a good alternative.

Went for a 3 day museum getaway....Hotel room price was right, hotel was very clean thruout and the Bistro had all the right food, drinks and service for me. The indoor/outdoor connected pool water was bath warm and the hot tub was correctly HOT. The room was big enough and very comfortable with a small deck, too. Kudos to the... More

Room was in good shape and clean. We had a king bed with a sofa sleeper. Room also had a small balcony. We did have one of those rooms that adjoin to another and for two mornings now we were woken up by a very loud talkative woman in the other adjoining room. We could hear her beeping the microwave... I think this hotel was fine for what we needed. The rooms were updated, did not have any food from the lobby area so I can't comment on that. Check in and check out was easy. I do think the hotel was a little pricey for what you get but that may have been because the Seafood Festival was going... More

The hotel was nice and clean, beds are comfy. Staff was pretty rude, though. And in case no one tells you, breakfast ends at 930, not 10, like every other hotel. Would stay again, but would refrain from speaking to the staff there.
