My husband and I spent one night in the tower room at the very top of the Stone House. The room is AMAZING!! There is a spiral staircase going up to the Widow's Walk. The floor of that space is made of glass, so all that light comes into the huge bedroom below. The view up there is spectacular. We... More

Came for dinner while in town to visit my husband's uncle at his beach house in Westport, MA. Uncle Carl knows all the cool spots and when he said he'd made reservations for dinner, I didn't need to ask questions because I knew wherever it was would would be excellent. The Stone House and the grounds are beautiful, and because... More

We went for just one night over Columbus Day weekend, and it was perfect. The Berry Suite was very gererously sized, with a beautiful private porch, an unreal bathroom, and a comfortable bed. The location can't be beat, either; it is just a short drive from Sakonnet Vineyard and Tiverton and -- more importantly -- about a five minute walk... More

Our third visit to this beautiful spot. We stayed in the Osprey room. The view is breathtaking. The room is comfortable, clique and clean. Breakfast, which is included, is creative and delicious. We ate on the porch in the morning sun...special! The area is quiet and classic coastal New England. Doesn't get much more peaceful than this.

This was our second visit to the Stone House in Little Compton RI. The Stone House is an amazing "redone" mansion providing much needed peace and quiet in an idyllic location. We had previously stayed in the Berry, but that room was taken so we stayed in the Plover which is located in the barn. This is NOT a barn... More

My wife and I recently visited the Stone House to have dinner at their restaurant "The Tap Room". We had a great dining experience. The decor and ambiance are amazing. The dining room has a rustic feel and the whole dining area and bar are very well taken care of. The service is top notch and attentive to all needs.... More

We had the pleasure of experiencing the Stone House for an August wedding. From the moment we arrived at this beautiful coastal venue, the enjoyment began. Our friends had incredibly unique guest suites that were so modern and decorated amazingly. The reception had fine food and the perfect atmosphere for outdoor/indoor relaxation and enjoyment. The food was spectacular, a marvelous... More

Pros--Little Compton is a gem. The Stone House building and grounds are absolutely gorgeous with a magnificent lawn.( Watch out for rabbit holes!). Rooms are modern in design and lovely. Beach is spectacular. The staff, esp Stephanie, are wonderful. I left a drawer full of clothes and she mailed them all home to me... Cons--bed needs a new mattress, taking... More

We spent a day here on our honeymoon and it was the best stop we had on our New England trip. The accommodations were clean and spacious. The grounds are amazing and the private beach is perfect. The breakfast was wonderful! Great stop for a wonderful little town!

Even though I miss the "old" inn, which was inexpensive and had shared bathrooms and a down-home atmosphere, it was very nice to see the very extensive renovations which have been done, especially on the outside of this building. It was magical to stay in the tower and have a 360 view of the water and fields. The tower room... More
