My boyfriend and I stayed here recently, and when we got there the whole place was locked up, and we stood outside for a good ten mintues but it's the middle of January, it's cold! I've heard several reviews about how you need to be there on time, and we were. After we waited we called the owner and asked... More

The decor is amazing, antique and romantic. Breakfast was wonderful and the host charming. I would visit in any season but the beautiful Christmas decorations and comfortable formality of the Manor made it especially wonderful at the holiday season. One night's stay felt like a mini-vacation. We are definitely going back! More

One of the highlights of our recent weekend in Providence was our stay at Edgewood Manor. It is located 10 min. from Providence, near a bay and a short walk to Roger Williams Park. It is situated on a wide block with many beautiful homes, some dating back over 100 years (do take a stroll down the street). The inn,... More

I stayed in a suite with my daughter and her husband for only one night. Couldn't wait to leave in the morning! There were spiders in one bedroom and the place gave me a very uneasy feeling. Having just come from a three night stay at a beautiful bed and breakfast in Maine, I was very disappointed with the accommodations... More

The Edgewood Manor was a terrible place to stay! We had a horrible time checking in. No one would answer the door even at 6 pm and it took several minutes to track someone down. Moreover, the Elm Suite - our room - was downright scary. It looked as if no one had been in our room for 20 years.... More

Im not sure why this person would say Edgewood is in a ghetto when Edgewood just received one of the best places to live award in Rhode Island by RI Magazine!!! It is really laughable these reviews and funny at times. As far as a scary hallway yes the hallway is there but you must turn on the light switch... More

My wife and I stayed at the Edgewood Manor over Columbus Day weekend to celebrate our first anniversary. While the reservation process was a bit different, the stay was very nice. The bed and breakfast was extremely well maintained. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The only recommendation I would make is that since (at least in our room),... More

I travelled to RI from NYC at the last minute, I booked on Thu and showed up on Fri, Andy was very professional and accommodating for my needs throughout my stay. Joy cooked a breakfast for which I have not witnessed at a B N B for my life's experience. Ive stayed at many, however, I felt as if I... More

I'm all for staying at B&B's - love the character and history associated with them, and the personal service really makes the experience. However, Edgewood provided none of the above, and I found the owner particularly snarky. My recommendation would be to stay *anywhere* other than this place. We won't be back. More

From the outside Edgewood Manor and the adjacent Newhall House look like very nice properties on well maintained grounds. However, inside was another story. My husband and I stayed in Newhall House and were disappointed to find many features did not live up to their billing. Our suite was supposed to have a kitchen (it did not), the wireless internet... A group of us attending a wedding in Providence recently stayed at the Newhall House, which is directly next door to Edgewood Manor and run by the same owner. We chose Newhall House because we wanted to rent an entire house and have the space and privacy to hang out with each other before and after the wedding. When I... More
