To say that the service was above and beyond during our recent stay is an understatement. Meg and Josh made us feel as if we have known them for years and treated us as if we were personal friends. The b&b was immaculate, the rooms spacious, the food delicious, and the views are like nothing else I have ever seen!... More

This was our second time here and again it was a perfect experience! Quaint room with spectacular views of the ocean! The innkeeper goes above and beyond to make your stay relaxing and feel at home. We will definitely keep coming back here for years and years to come:)

Stayed here in Late Oct, the inn was fabulous, the keepers we very helpful. The Location is perfect if you do not have a car, just minutes from the ferry. I would return in a warmer month like Sept next time due to most everything being closed late Oct.

We have stayed many times at Avonlea( yellow house) and referred both friends and family. The pictures are accurate. The staff here are great-Very personable and attentive every time. Each time we stay in a different room or suite. We prefer the rooms. The "off" season is our favorite time to come, especially when we came late fall, last year(sapphire).... More

My best friend and I just spent this past weekend at Avonlea. Everything about the place is magical. Cassandra and Meg, the keepers of Avonlea, really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The rooms are small, but so lovely, and the views out the windows can't be beat. Avonlea is... More

I stayed at The Avonlea in October of 2013 and it was lovely in every way. There is an amazing view from each window looking out onto the ocean. Meg, Cassandra, and Shannon who work there take such good care of you and make you feel so at home. This was my first B & B stay ever and I... More

My husband and I chose to come to Block Island for our honeymoon. Neither of us had ever visited Block Island before. I found the Avonlea by googling around. The reviews are all true! It is the most romantic and wonderful getaway. We took the traditional ferry over with our bikes. The Avonlea is just a quick 5 minute walk... More

We always stay at the Blue Dory's Waverly Cottage. They are very accommodating. We started staying there because we traveled with our dogs, they are the only BI Inn that excepts dogs. The cottage is nicely situated in town close to beach you can hear the waves and sit on deck with unobstructed ocean view. Ann is lovely as is... More

Stayed at the Avonlea Inn for a wedding and it could not have been more perfect. Meg, Josh and Cassandra make the Inn truly special.
