I definitely recommend this home, because it felt like a place away from home, to anyone who wants to experience a sense of peace, community and love. We especially enjoyed Brother.

The Hygeia is so uniquely peaceful in such a high energy tourist location. It is simple in every way and so easy to get to the beach and town. I had the pleasure of staying at Hygeia House for two nights. The restoration,furnishings and friendly staff made my visit something I will always remember fondly . I highly recommend it to all.

while walking back from the beach, i saw hygeia house at dusk--the lights were on-pumpkins were on the porch-the dog greeted me with dog love. at first glance hygeia house is plain and simple. after staying there two nights, i felt like i was coming home.

When I stay at a Bad and Breakfast or any hotel I expect the room to smell clean and fresh. The Hygeia house did not have that quality. The shower curtain was covered with green mold!!!!! The bathroom and the room adjacent to our bedroom did not smell good at all. The bathroom mat had a big hole in it.... More
