It's all about being on Block Island, not getting luxury accommodations. Small room, standing AC unit in room, no chair to sit in. But, a huge storage room for early arrivals and late departures. Excellent food and drinks. Extremely convenient location and on nice days and evenings, it is enjoyable to sit on porch for meals, drinks, relaxing.

If you have ever traveled to Block Island you know that there is no "Hilton or Ritz Carlton". what you will find is old, quaint, charming hotels like this one. The hotel is on of the first original hotels built on Block Island so there is a ton of history beneath the roof. It is clean, affordable & the staff... More

I think some of the harsh reviews are over stated! This is by no means a "great" hotel, but, the location is very good, the rates are quite low. ok, the 3rd floor is a hike, i agree. Rooms are small, but, for us, thay were ok. A/C and flat screen make up for some size. walls are thin so,... More

This is my 2cd year staying here. It is very quaint, clean and the staff hospitable. Yes the rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Plus we are outside most of the time. A very convenient location. Free continental breakfast, you can store your luggage before and after checkout. If you want to stay on the island for a few days... More

Stayed here mid week end of July. Got the Block Island Reservation deal $549USD which was 2 nights at the Harborside Inn, 2 bike rentals, 2 beach chairs, 1 umbrella, $100 food voucher, complimentary continental breakfast or $4 off menu items & welcome gift bag. As in previous reviews, the hotel is OLD. And not charming old. Walk down to... More

My sister-in-law and I took a much needed "girls" trip for two nights and we booked a room that had a bedroom and a daybed. The hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the ferry and right in the middle of the tourist shops and restaurants. The building is from the 1800's and does hold certain charms. There... More

I typically am not a very picky person when it comes to hotel/Inn stays. As long as it’s clean, I’m good to go-I just sleep in the room anyway, right?! As most folks mentioned in prior reviews, the location is perfect. Just steps away from the ferry, so your luggage isn't too much of a burden. They have a small... More

Dear Guest, I am writing in response to your recent review. I was very disappointed to hear about your experience. I would like to point out that while our housekeepers obviously overlooked some important cleaning details in your room, finding the earing in the vacuum bag is absolutely no reason to assume that we are not changing sheets. This is... More

My boyfriend and I headed to Block Island the last week of July. He had purchased the "Discover BI" Package and it worked out great! The hotel is literally right in front of the ferry dock, so we enjoyed watching the ferries come and go from our window. The room was small but perfect for two people. Bathroom was dark... More

The good - 100 yards from where you disembark from the ferry. Comfortable veranda where food and drink is served and you can enjoy the view of the harbor and people watching. The rest - Noisy at night during the summer. The rooms are small and to describe them as rustic would be kind. Air conditioning is provided by large,... More

My husband and I went to Block Island for our anniversary and stayed at the Harborside Inn. We were looking for a place near the ferry since we had never been to Block Island. I called our room the “Paris Room” since it was so small it reminded me of the hotel rooms in Paris. In other words, it was... More
