The Blue Dory cottage in which we stayed was about the worst value per dollar we've experienced. Told that our cottage was recently renovated, we were surprised by the B-rate motel-like interior. The Blue Dory was nice, but we enjoyed the porch and view from their other property "Avonlea" (just down the beach) so much more. The "Avonlea" has been renovated and has nice, clean colors with central a/c. (The Blue Dory uses room a/c in the bedrooms upon request.) My wife took me here for my birthday in March to a very desolate Block Island to stay at the very quaint and romantic Blue Dory which is walkign distance to town and the ferry.
