Very pleased with our stay at New Shoreham house. You can't ask for a better location coming right off the ferry with luggage. Its merely a short walk and if you arrive early (before check in of 3:00pm) no worries because they have a surveillance camera equipped luggage room you may use to store your things. Front desk people were... More

$99 a night on Block Island is a bargain, no two ways about it. One might expect a less-than-clean guest house, but New Shoreham House exceeded expectations. Not only is it well located on the main drag, it was clean, cozy, friendly, and comfortable. The downside is shared baths, but there are two on each floor, and we never had... More

We stayed in the only room with the private bathroom during the week (m-f). The Good: Inexpensive, lots of clean towels and good quality products (shampoos etc) given daily, lots of windows (so even without air conditioning it is cool enough to sleep at night in July), nice porch and common area, room has TV and large table with two... Folks, first face up to the fact that you're dealing with the owner of a monopoly here, that services over nineteen properties on the island, so if you're looking for the personalized service you'd expect elesewhere, you won't necessarily get it here. Pros: the room (17B) has a nice private bathroom, and the room is spacious. Location is great within... More

If you don't mind shared bathrooms and you want a neat, clean stay where the price is right, this is the place. The rooms are small but comfortable for 2 people. If you don't have a car the hotel is right across the street from the ferry, so you can walk from the ferry to the hotel. There is a... More

Just got back from staying at the New Shoreham house and we paid $90/night which is pretty much one of the lowest prices you can pay on BI. For 90/night you get a bed, TV, towels and toiletries. The room is small but unless you're planning to throw a tea party, it's big enough for two people. We stayed in... More

My wife and like to visit Block Island every summer and stay at least a few nights. We needed to be frugal this time and the New Shorehan House was perfect. We stayed 3 nights and found the shared baths not a problem at all. We were able to take showers when we wanted to. Only once had a short... More

Our trip to Block Island for our tenth anniversary was enhanced by our stay at the New Shoreham House Inn. We got a super mid-week special and enjoyed our visit very much. The rooms are small but the bed was comfortable and cozy. This is a no frills room....in other words if you are looking for something new and fancy... More

We stayed here over the labor day weekend. Given the price it is not a bad place to lay your head. The rooms where clean, as where the common areas (including the bathrooms). It is an old Inn so you have to expect creaky doors, slanted floors and other bumps that make the place quaint. The staff at the sister... More
