The Yorktowne Hotel is a historic hotel. So, with this in mind, expect the place to look well, old. It is a nice place, though. A few things could use an update, like the carpet in the main lobby, but the room was comfortable. The television in the room is a bit dated, but if you're only staying overnight it's... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel while we we in York for a baby shower a month and a half ago. The time that we spent at the hotel was nice and we were pleasantly surprised with the place. We were in a room on the 8th floor, which sounds to be the best location in the hotel.... More

This historic hotel is Classic but old. There is a 10$ a day parking fee. Loved the list of famous people that have stayed in the hotel (they must have one beautiful room hidden somewhere). The lobby is beautiful..... roaring 20s for sure!! Would have loved to eat in the dining room but never saw it open. The décor is... More

My husband and I had visited this hotel twice before our recent visit .It was clean. The staff was cordial and the rooms were fine. We stayed in junior suites both times. On this visit ,we again ordered a junior suite .It was awful. The room was clean but badly in need of an update. The garage was closed so... More

On my recent trip to Pennsylvania, I was really looking forward to staying at the Yorktowne and detoured my trip to York so I could visit. I arrived on. Sunday evening and the hotel was as vacant as a tomb. Just one young lady working the front desk...everything else was closed. The young lady at the front desk first advised... More

I stayed here for the week of my birthday; I checked in late at night on May 14 and checked out on May 16, 2014 (my birthday). The front desk person was awesome! I called them while I was at a rest area on my way from Ohio and they were totally understanding that I would have a very late... More

This hotel has an entire staff that are polished and professional, especially the front desk employees. Since this hotel has been transformed into a boutique hotel, the rooms are very spacious. The 20' high ceilings in the lobby are marvelous to look at, but are dirty at places; especially around the ceiling vents. Hotel has a nice location on East... More

This hotel is full of so much character and old world charm that I desperately wanted to be able to give it a good review...but that won't be the case. In my opinion, there are only 4 things a hotel should do well: - be clean - be safe - provide means for a comfortable night's rest - provide acceptable... More

This historic hotel is really a classic. The décor is very elegant and poshy. Although the rooms are very old, my room was clean, but not everyone in my group had a room as clean as mine. The restaurant has excellent food, with a terrific variety on their menu. We had dinner and breakfast, both meals were delicious and plenty.... More

I pricelined a room and "won" at $53.00. I was put in 823 in a small suite. Clean, nicely carpeted. The bed was huge and comfortable. Bathroom was immaculate. I believe the upper floors are better decorated. I stayed on 4 one time and it wasn't particularly good.
