Our room was compact but clean and quite functional. It was decorated by an up-scale decorator with plenty of lighting including lights to read in bed. It is a "green" motel but the water-saver features on the shower and the toilet didn't skimp on function. The shower was a delight! Pet friendly. Close to the Turnpike and Casino. If there... more

My wife always said, I wish they would ask me how a hotel should remodel their rooms. Well Red Roof inn got it right. We stayed in the all inclusive king and all the extra mirrors, outlets, makeup areas, work areas were perfect. The location of this Red roof was tricky to find. The people at the front desk were... more

Stayed May 17, 2009, with one pet. I usually stay at the Econolodge in Wilkes-Barre and they are nice, but I decided to try Red Roof as I just stayed in one at the previous night further south and it was fine and cheaper. Nice comfortable bed. Bad: the door had a large gap underneath it, so I put a... more

REMEMBER: This is a Red Roof Inn, not a fine hotel, so my 4 star review is based on the fact that this is an economy motel. Stayed here on 2/7/2009, while visiting the Mohegan Sun casino, choosing it for it's proximity to the casino, and because they allow pets. I can't remember the last time I spent less than... more

Stayed for 1 night in Jan 2009 and had no issues. Easy check in and check out. Room was small, but clean. For the price paid it was a very good value. The T V, heat, shower, lights, etc, all worked fine. There is no iron in the room, which was about the only thing unexpected. Overall, a decent one... more

I planned an overnight stay in Wilkes-Barre PA to attend an Elton John concert and chose to stay at the Red Roof Inn there as I’ve stayed at 3 or 4 others elsewhere that all proved to be good experiences. I arrived early – 2 PM and my room was ready. I had reserved a King Standard….not one with the... more

I frequently travel between Western PA and Boston and stop somewhere in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. For one of the least expensive hotels in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area this is a great find. I have stayed there before but recently stayed in the "king all-inclusive" room for an extra $10 a night. All inclusive means that the room is a "business king"... more

Even though the room was small, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the funny odor in the room. If you just need a place to sleep for the night, this is a good choice as the price is right. Coffee and tea are offered in the morning in the office. more

Not knowing where to stay in Wilkes-Barre, I asked someone who travels up that way on business from time to time. They suggested Red Roof Inn for price and convenience. Well, it was all that and more. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it's literally seconds from the highways. You don't have to travel through... more

For a budget price of $65.00 a night this was a great stay. The motel itself, was an older Red Roof style type motel. Exterior doors in a long building. The room was basic, but it was ok. While the room was not newly renovated, it seemed clean and nice enough for me. And, I usually like Hamptons, Marriotts, etc.... more
