We have stayed here several times and will return when in town. Room was plenty big, clean, mattress a little too soft for me but still slept good. Staff very courteous. Breakfast plentiful and good. Good coffee, too.

More money should have been spent updating your existing rooms instead of blowing it all on the expansion and additions. Old room was missing wallpaper, carpet was stained, linoleum floors were old and stained. New addition rooms are amazing, clean, updated...

I recommend requesting a room in the "newly remodled" section of the lodge. What sets the Penn Wells apart from other hotels is the fact that you can park the car and let it sit while you enjoy the beautiful town of Wellsboro (it's like stepping back in time with the small shops, restaurants (the diner), and the small neighborhoods... Hi, we stayed at the Penn Wells Lodge the beginning of May. We loved it. The room was nice and clean and nicely decorated. The pool and spa was nice and warm and the breakfast of eggs and sausage and other things was great. The only thing I thought would have made it better is they need another shelf or... More

Thank you for staying with us. We are happy that you were able to enjoy the indoor pool and breakfast. Thank you for the suggestion on adding shelf space. We hope you are able to visit again. More

When we visit Wellsboro, we always stay at Penn Wells. Always clean and fresh, love the indoor pool area. The muffins baked on the premises for breakfast were some of the best I have ever eaten. Not your usual flavors, I had peach and a caramel pear and both were excellent. Would highly recommend.

Just what this area needs - another flophouse for gas industry workers! I stayed in April, 2015 as part of a business trip. Upon check-in, I immediately realized that the Lodge was made specifically to serve the gas industry workers and did not offer even the most modest of amenities for real business travelers, much nevermind families! My 2nd floor... More

Stayed one night at the lodge. Across from a 24 Dunkin Doughnuts and walking distance to fast food and full service restaurants. Parking lot in need of attention, needs to be spruced up from winter. Although I do not smoke, no place to sit outside main entrance or even a garbage can outside. Check in was quick. Stayed on second... More

I stayed here in the lodge section, which is detached from the hotel part. The lodge is new - I had a suite which has a separate bedroom and is very nice. There is also a nice and large indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is a block away and old/historic/quaint depending on how you look at it. Just... More

We arrived late on a Thursday evening walked into a nice looking hotel and the reservation was for a king bed with our Pomeranian dog with us. I was told that they accepted pets!! No Problem!! Well we where diverted to the building in the rear of the hotel, walked into a dirty smelly mess!! There were 2 looked like... More
