This place was a real treat. Just loaded with history. How Marilyn, the Beatles and JFK chose the place I don't know. Suffice it to say that they did. Kennedy even gave his Bay of Pigs speech here. But history aside this was a comfortable, clean and affordable place to stay. So what if it could use a few upgrades... More

Stayed here for business and was really surprised at the difference between the website and the actual experience. No doubt the hotel has a lot of character but the experience was disappointing based on what I expected from the website. It's very dated and the rooms are a hybrid between nice furnishings and a motel. You want to love he... More

The GW Hotel was built in 1923 and has a lot of character and beauty. It's a great hotel for those who can appreciate it. This hotel is not for those who expect to stay in modern-day luxury or a cookie-cutter chain hotel. This hotel is located with other historic buildings, with the county courthouse across the street and an... More

Old quaint inn. I was totally fbfounded that Hotwire would put this inn comparable to Holiday Inn Express or La Quinta!!! The room was clean very small and old. I do give the proprietors there due they are trying to keep it up but there is a lot of work ahead of them. Not to mention the location is incredibly... More

We had our wedding there last weekend and myself, the groom, and most of our family and friends stayed there the weekend as well. The wedding went off flawlessly thanks to Brad the wedding coordinator. He was patient and pleasant with us during the whole wedding planning process as well as the day of. We had a huge wedding party... More

Yes I read the prior reviews but it was too late, I had reserved with the Hilton Chain but they overbooked. They gave me this room free of charge. Yikes! First red flag. Lobby is nice. After that I thought I was at the hotel California. Scary elevator. Small rooms Leaky shower head dripped ALL night. You can hear everything... More

This was a great hotel.... once. Sadly, it was not what I had expected. They are trying some things to keep up but it falls short. The furnishings just don't fit with the era of the hotel. Armoires would be nice and hide the cables. Also an outlet in the bathroom would help. I would have preferred carpet in the... More

This review is for the hotel as an event space. My wife and I got married there last month and just had to say we think Brad was awesome. He'll help in any way he can and his staff supports him and does a great job. Our family and friends had a really great time and our wedding planning was... More

Super clean. Heat and AC are not adjustable in the room. Room was chilly. Called front desk to ask for heat and was told they'd turn on the blowers in the hallways but never felt a change in the temperature. No fridge. Thin walls; thus noisy. Bathroom is tiny with no where to place items. No hair dryer in room.... More

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that it is very convenient when visiting Washington and Jefferson College. While visiting our son during Family Weekend, we were able to walk back and forth from campus with ease. Although the room was adequate, we were bothered by noise from adjacent rooms as well as the hallway. There is... More
