Our family visited the "Summit Inn" last Friday. We had a wonderful stay at this old 'porch' inn sitting upon the mountain looking down to the valley of Hopwood and Uniontown, PA. The charm of the lobby is enough to get anyone hooked on this hotel. Our family has been staying here for over 25 years. Our children, who are... More

Nice place to stop on old Pa Rt 40. Sits at the top of the mountain above Uniontown. On clear days you can enjoy a cocktail or dinner outside on the porch and enjoy an incredible view. The price is right for a 100+ year old historical inn with old but clean rooms. While in that area, a few miles... More

A little pricy and if you want a modern refined hotel this isnt it. Room was old and historic. Hallways are old and creaky but common space was nice (and historic). I enjoyed the super huge outdoor pool which was clean. I enjoyed the outdoor space and the large porch sitting area. The only ice machine was at the front... More

I found out what my son was paying for his wedding dinner there and nearly had a heart attack. But that's what they wanted. The hallways and the room where the dinner was held were stifling hot. The $75 a plate food was a joke. The chicken was rubbery and they ran out of hors d'oeuvres in 15 minutes and... More

Rooms are very small and don't offer much, but despite the age of this hotel, it is clean and the service is outstanding! Mountain views are a plus. Uniontown has some nice restaurants, though the city doesn't offer much else. You pay for the view.

My husband and I stayed at the Summit Inn on our visit to Falling Water. The website made it look charming and quaint. We did not expect it to be old and dingy and the worst thing of all, we could hear the couple in the room next door's conversations. For the Saturday night stay it was very poor value.... More

We paid $265 per night/weekend rates. Our room had mold on the ceiling. There was coffee in the main lobby but none in the room. The restaurant was below average. A chicken dish I ordered had a tasteless white sauce on it. Prime rib was raw. I expected more. We were unsure of how the restaurant was awarded stars for... More

Recommended by the groom-to-be as a location other than the Hampton Inn & Holliday Inn between the Falling Water reception and the town wedding. Enjoyed dinner on the veranda and the breakfasts served in a dining room ; nothing special but a comfrotable setting. Probably agree with some that pricing is high for accomodations, but would return.

It was $185 per night, not including taxes and fees, and it wasn't worth it. After we checked in, we found someone was working on our room. We went out to get our luggage and they were finished by the time we returned. We weren't sure what they were doing, but we got a hunch when we took a shower... More

Stinky room, wi-fi not working, appalling service at the restaurant. Overpriced and not worth staying at. The $200 dollar room with a valley view turned out to be above the restaurant terrace with 80% abstracted view. A total disappointment.
