The Welcome Center on the Pennsylvania I-80 just across the OHIO border needs to be updated. I had planned on driving to Titusville to visit the Drake Oil Well in the morning, but the gentleman behind the information desk did not know of any hotels/motels in Titusville. I started looking in Franklin, then Oil City, and after not finding anything... More

At the caboose motel, the motel rooms are remodeled cabooses from a number of different railroad lines. The rooms are quaint, interesting, comfortable, clean and affordable. Coupling it with a 3-hour train trip through the area makes for a great day (especially with fall foliage). King bed was extremely comfortable. Noise was not an issue during our stay. We had... We had read about this in a newspaper ad. Wanted to ride the train and take in the history of the area. What Fun!! We stayed in 1004 Western Maryland With A Cupola. Very clean! There were spiders( but also street lights). We watched a falling star from our outside sitting area. Peaceful, Quiet. Great service. We loved it. No... More

This was just for fun- so I had no idea what to expect. Is this a HIlton property? Nope But then again Hiltons are predictable. This was different in a good way and the staff were so darn friendly that even if I had an issue, don't know that I would have said anything. I met the housekeeper who has... More

We finally did it, spent a night in a coboose motel. The ad said : sleep under the stars in a caboose with a cupola, they left out the part about the steet light, Overall a good experience, a little higher price for the area but it is also unique. Don't expect alot of frills. Reasonably clean, bed was average... More

We love trains and go on scenic train rides whenever we can so we thought it might be fun to stay at this caboose motel for the novelty of sleeping in a caboose. Well...it was fun for the novelty. Now we can say we slept in a caboose. The caboose was cute and I was surprised at how spacious it... More

We took our 7 year old grandson for this overnight because he wanted to go on the train. He loved both staying in the caboose and the train ride the following day. The people are very helpful and friendly and it was just perfect sharing this with him. We ate dinner at the Blue Canoe which offers a very nice... More

Currently staying at this small hotel with absolutely no accommodations . Older style small rooms with no updates . If your claustrophic at all this isn't the place for you. There are no windows, an ancient ac unit and TV does not work. It's 10 pm and I called the office and there isn't anyone on duty. What a poor... More

Had the chance to stay here with a friend after we had the W WII train reenactment ride there. We stayed in a cupola caboose, it was well lighted all night. If you need darkness to sleep this could be a problem. That wasn't a problem for me and think some without the cupola wouldn't have a problem. We did... More
