I was so freaked out about the poor reviews, I had doubts. I also got this thru a groupon deal. The staff was so friendly. We used our $20 credit at breakfast. They did take 15 mins to refill the pancakes for the breakfast buffet but they didnt charge my 6yr old and 4 yr old that did eat a... More

Great place, not a top notch high end hotel, but very clean and well maintain for a hotel that has being around for a while. My first visit was through Groupon, the resort credit was not welcome at restaurant at time we went, look that waiters were unaware. Good location for shopping, for hiking, for Beers(visit local browery) and amusement... More

I see this place is getting a lot of poor reviews. We got the room through Groupon for $69 per night. It included a $20 resort credit that we used for breakfast. I don't know what peoples expectations are for a hotel at the base of the ski hill for this price is but I thought it was more than... More

the hotel had a nice location for skiing, and access to stroudsburg for nightlife. the rooms were dingy and outdated. they didn't have my king room with a view when i arrived, due to heating units that didn't work. they "upgraded me to a queen loft' with no view and a smaller bed. there were no luggage carts, and the... Arriving at the hotel, we were stoked at how close we were located to the Poconos Mountain. We could tell the hotel was older, but figured it would be okay. Checking in was easy, and our room was exactly as others described, not the nicest, but good for a weekend. Random stains on walls and doors, tubs had nasty floor... More

Amanda- I appreciate your feedback about your stay. I have shared your critique with the restaurant staff and manager. Honestly said, we should have been better than you described. I apologize for that. I am also shared with the housekeeping and engineering staff in order to address the condition of your room. It is a relatively straightforward fix and it... More

Everything about this place is horrible. Rooms are outdated with broken furniture. The TV didn't work. We had to fix the sliding door ourselves. The hot tub didn't work. Employees were having a dispute in front of us. We had a " do not disturb" sign on our door and house keeping STILL went in the room. There's not one... More

Jennifer - I apologize for the issues that you experienced during your stay. I trust that these we communicated to guest services and they were able to address the maintenance concerns. That should never be the case, but unfortunately things break. What that happens, how we respond to your concerns is important to me. If you can contact me with... More

We stayed at the Chateau February 22-23, 2015 with a group of people, 13 of us total (including 3 children). We booked 5 rooms and called the hotel a few days prior to arrival to request that our rooms be near each other. We were told that this would not be a problem. We arrived at the hotel a little... Terri- Thank you for the comprehensive review. Unfortunately the weekend that you visited us abnormally cold and the leaking pipe did a lot of damage to several areas. And although we never guarantee room assignments, we try our best to accommodate whenever we are able. With that being said, it is obvious we have some work to do to improve... More

Currently the only sizeable hotel at Camelback Mountain - but the new CamelBack Lodge is due to open April 2015 (but was very, very unfinished as of 20th February). Rooms are of an adequate size but dated decor and fixtures/fittings. 'Garden Rooms' actually overlook the parking, Mountain view rooms have small balconies. Buffet Breakfasts with hot options (scrambled eggs, bacon,... More

We stayed for Presidents' Day weekend and cut our stay short due to the extreme cold/ wind. It's right across from Camelback you can see the skiers from your window. Many restaurants provide shuttle service which is great! Old and dingy room with saggy mattress, very small indoor pool and the jacuzzi was broken all weekend, buffet was so so... More

It's a great location to stay with family. Right next (walking distance) to sky resort in winter, water park in summer, tree top adventure. Tree minutes from big shopping mall and main road to get variety of food. Breakfast conveniently downstairs, nothing special ,but let's you hit slopes early w/out being hungry. Have to say - worst coffee I have... More
