I wish we would have checked trip advisors prior to booking this room. First room had such a foul odor of cig. smoke with ashes still in the ash tray. We complained and were switched to another room. This room was so dirty. A piece of donut on the floor, papers, strings (obviously not vaccuumed!!) The bathroom floor and tub... more

Even the nice front desk staff couldn't make up for this miserable hotel experience. I don't know where to start -- dirty toilet bowl, empty soap wrapper on the floor, hair in the sink, NO WINDOWS in my second floor room, a couple 40 watt bulbs, NO ELEVATOR (I don't mean broken, I mean NO elevator -- What is this... more

We needed a room in anticipation of moving our son into his Penn State dorm in August 2008, and although we tried to book a room in April, the reasonably priced places that we called were booked.. We settled on the Ramada despite the mixed reviews because it was available, and we hoped that because it was a Ramada it... more

Recently stayed at the Ramada in State College. Very clean. I was satisfied and would stay again. Loved the two swimming pools. Hair dryer in room didn't work, but that was minor. more

On March 26th & 27th, I was in State College on business for the filming of CNBC's Mad Money with Jim Cramer. Having stayed at Ramada Inn's in the past with mixed results, I was not sure what to expect. I must say that this Ramada Inn may be one of the Best in the country. While the building is... more

Let me start by saying this was a last minute trip because we were given tickets to the Penn State game and since demand is high for rooms the price for a Friday and Saturday nights came to $330 including Priceline fees and local taxes, which was still less than Expedia, Travelocity, etc had for the same nights but still... more

The Ramada looks nice when you drive up, but do not be fooled. The renovation appears to be the conference center only, rooms were not renovated. It is a basic motel with room access from the outside, and smelly, dingy rooms on the inside. When we went to the front desk to report a musty smell, they sent someone to... more

I was concerned about the Ramada Conference Center after reading reviews here, but when an employer books you for a conference, you don't have much say in where it is. I have attended many conferences in the Penn State area, but never at the Ramada before. I will start by saying that this does not have the charm of the... more

I was speaking at a conference held at this hotel, which has a conference center attached to it. Admittedly, I was not expecting much from a Ramada Inn except basic motel facilites. I was first placed in a room directly adjacent to the indoor pool. The door of the room was literally 12 feet from the pool, which was full... more
