My husband and I just returned from a 2-day stay at the Hampton Inn. The facility is recently renovated, and very nice. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was nicely decorated. There are two Hampton Inns in State College. The one on the west side is brand new, and much nicer. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the Olive Garden delivers for free. It is much nicr than the one on the east side of town. more

We just came back from the Hampton for daughters advising day at Penn State. It was nice for one night. Front desk staff very helpful.. Room was average motel room. Stayed overnight before an early morning session at Penn State. The staff member behind the desk was very helpful with campus info and accommodating. He even remembered my name the next morning, not something you often find at this level of a hotel. The eating area was quite nice....the picture online doesn't show everything.
