This was the first time that we had stayed at a Hampton Inn hotel. Checkin/out was fine. Room was clean and comfy. King suite had a king bed and a pull-out, but did not seem larger than the regular two-bed room, so that was a bit disappointing. Free breakfast was good. Breakfast staff was very helpful and courteous!!! Did not... more

Not one bit disappointed in this Hampton Experience. We traveled there for a March weekend with 3 kids who were participating in a state swim meet. The hotel had other swimmers and their families, kids attending a volleyball tourney and it was the same weekend as the PA state basketball tourney. So we were expecting a bit of "Wild West"... more

I stayed at the State College Hampton Inn recently, and the proximity to Penn State could not be better. If you are going to the area for a PSU sporting event, the hotel is within a half-mile of all of the athletics facilities. It is very convenient to major roads, as well. The service at the hotel was good, but... more

My husband and I just returned from a 2-day stay at the Hampton Inn. The facility is recently renovated, and very nice. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was nicely decorated. We arrived 2 1/2 hours before check-in time, were greeted with a smile, and given an upgraded room immediately. Even though there couldn't have been more than a half-dozen rooms occupied... more

Stayed at the Hampton Inn during parent's weekend. The price was reasonable and the room was very clean. The beds were so comfortable and the staff was very courteous. I usually stay at the Nittany Lion but they were booked, and would stay at the Hampton Inn again when I visit Penn State. JM Lebanon, N.J. more

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on College Avenue for 2 nights in June. My husband had a conference at the Days Inn, but we chose to stay here because it looked nicer than the Days Inn. Pros: Large convienent parking lot, Nice clean outdoor pool, Very helpful and friendly employees, Ample breakfast buffet included (our 1st morning there were... more

There are two Hampton Inns in State College. The one on the west side is brand new, and much nicer. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the Olive Garden delivers for free. It is much nicr than the one on the east side of town. more

We just came back from the Hampton for daughters advising day at Penn State. It was nice for one night. Front desk staff very helpful.. Room was average motel room. The continental breakfast was muffins, bagels, fruit, cereal, sausage patties, french toast sticks...nothing too great. But it was perfect for grabbing something to eat early since we had to be... more

Stayed overnight before an early morning session at Penn State. The staff member behind the desk was very helpful with campus info and accommodating. He even remembered my name the next morning, not something you often find at this level of a hotel. The eating area was quite nice....the picture online doesn't show everything. The 'hot special' was sausage patties... more
