I used to stay at the facility when it was with another chain. The rate has gone up a little since the switch to Quality Inn but the added amenities are very nice and made my stay more pleasant. Still a good value. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably clean. Staff is courteous and helpful. Will stay again. more

The Motel 6 in State College is an excellent value. The only issue we've encountered (and we stay there often) occurs when late check-ins are loud in the hall or kids congregate to celebrate an event. The room is very spacious. Beds are small but comfy. The towels, were the worst smelling towels ever. After a shower I went to wipe my face/dry myself off and almost passed out - it smelled like dirty feet. Yuck! Other than that, everything was nice. This was our first visit to a Motel 6 while visiting our daughter at Penn State. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and tidiness of our spacious room. The cost could not be beat and the staff was very accommodating. Though near a main road, it was a quiet stay. more
