This is a perfect place for a romantic getaway. We stayed here a few times, each time in the suites that have a jacuzzi. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable, and the view from the deck outside the sliding doors is beautiful. We try to get the most value when we go places, so we take advantage of the Enchanted... more

We had an absolutely majestic time at The French Manor. We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful and peaceful place for our Anniversary. We were captivated by the scenery, and we enjoyed nature walks. For the treasure seeking hiker, let it be known there are some blackberry patches along the trails (we’ll be back in the summer to pick!). The... more

Where do I begin? Decided to take my husband away for a weekend to a reported four diamond B&B. Should be a four coal hourly rented rooming house. Let me begin at check-in. Staff couldn't be nicer. Door to room in which we would be staying was app. four inches from the floor. Everything that went on at the desk... more

Inexperienced staff to the point of rudeness. So so food. Over-priced for what you get. This place is like a parody of what an inn of this type is supposed to be. The rooms have mildew. The heat is oppressive or if off it is freezing cold.... there is no in between. I would never recommend this place to anyone. more

We stayed at the French Manor this past long weekend for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. We stayed at room #1 called Brigitte. The room was recently renovated. Renovations are nice and I loved the colors. The Jacuzzi and bathroom are really lovely. It was convenient to have refrigerator there. We loved the fireplace after having skied all... more

My wife and I visited the French Manor to celebrate both our anniversery, and the New Year. I would first like to point out that the "B&B feel" is very evident at this facility. The consistent warm welcoming smiles, good mornings, and good evenings you receive go a long way. While we stayed at the Manor for several days, the... more

This is certainly not a five star establishment. They should take some of the money that is being spent to built the spa facilities and do some necessary maintainance, painting, cleaning, etc. We have stayed in a range of B&Bs and Inns across the country (both with an "old world" charm - as the French Manor is shooting for and... more

We stayed one night in the San Remo room which is on the 2nd floor of the carriage house. Although the room was clean and well decorated, it was quite small and attic-like with a window air conditioner. The bathroom was large and well-lit but there was no room to put anything other than the adjacent window sill. The bathroom... more

My husband and I were recently married and we were given a gift certificate to stay at The French Manor. We took advantage of the opportunity to get away and retreat to this beautiful bed and breakfast in the mountains and we were not disappointed. The staff was so attentive and polite. To emphasize this, I will tell you that... more

I've stayed in a number of Select Registry recommended B&B's, and was a little surprised after my stay that this made the Select Registry list. To be fair, the grounds really are beautiful and they have a very lovely view of the Poconos. I would also say that my bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was really quite good.... more

Dear Guest, Thank you for your recent comment on Trip Advisor. We appreciate the constructive criticism. I would like to point out, however, that the wood paneling you are referring to is called "Pecky Cypress" and is quite rare - especially in NE PA. The French Manor was originally built as a private retreat in the mid-1930's for mining magnate,...
