We stayed for three nights at this campground which recently became a KOA campground. Great river front sites but the sites are small like most KOA campgrounds. I noticed many permenant sites but the people seemed very friendly. Amenities were great. FYI, road leading to campground is a pretty steep road so be cautious if you drive a big rv.

Overall, this campground has some really nice features and facilities. While it is mainly an RV park, there were some cool tent sites along the river. We would probably return, but do have a few complaints: We tent-camped Thursday through Monday. By Friday, the two porta-potties (the restrooms near the tent sites are under construction) were out of toilet paper... More

I tent camped for 2 nights at this campground because I simply love camping. I was traveling by myself and as a woman camping alone I had some concerns about safety. When I pulled into the site (which is a KOA) I was greeted by security before I could enter the grounds. I noticed security on site as well and... More

After reading the reviews I think it's important to mention the campground is affiliated with KOA. We have had a first class camping experience so far. We got a spot right on the river for our pop-up. We are used to camping at woodsy'r sites but the angle of the sites doesn't put you side to side with your neighbor.... More

This is a great spot nestled against the Youghagany River in the beautiful Laurel Highlands in western PA. You must travel down a steep narrow road to get to the rivers edge campground. If you reserve in advance you can get right align the rivers edge hence the name... The only problem is the camp is directly across from train... More

Staying for the first time in our new camper was like a trial run! Many thanks to our neighbors, Tracy and Butch for their help as well as the maintenance crew and the friendly folks at the store to get things up and running! The campsite was clean and the view, spectacular. The trains are pretty continuous, but after a... More

While riding the gap we stayed here.Great campground, warm showers.pool was nice.Mike helped us a lot.The only problem i encountered was the store hours were 10am to 730pm.This is hard for riders that like to get an early start and ride late.Beside that i would stay here again

We stayed at River's Edge for a weekend. It was EXTREMELY wet and muddy, we arrived to find our site saturated and muddy. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and found us an alternate site. We are not used to this type of campground, the sites are very close together. The campground is clean and pleasant, and it's nice... More

This was my first (and probably last) time camping at The River's Edge campground. First, I will start with the positives - the campground was very clean - the showers/bathrooms/common areas well kept. Staff was friendly and accomodating - they will even deliver firewood to your site. If you forgot something, they are sure to have it at their camp... More

We had a cabin for the weekend. The cabin was very nice. It had a microwave, 2 burner stove, cable tv, refridgerator, heat/air condition. Ours could have easily slept at least 4. The camp ground is right on the The Great Allegheny Passage bike trail at milepost 92. It is also right on the river so there was plenty to... More
