Similar to another review here, our stay was scheduled at the last minute, therefore my fiance and I got the smallest room with two twin beds which was the only one available. But upon arrival David (we didnt meet Gail til' the next morning) was more than welcoming and the room was quaint and neat as a pin. The room... More

We were made very welcome at The Old Road Guest House, the rooms were beautiful and very comfortable it was just a shame we only stayed for one night, I could of easily stayed longer. Continental breakfast was included, the homemade cake was especially nice. Would definately recommend for a visit to the Amish County.

Gathering in Lancaster area on a recent weekend with family members, we could not have been more pleased with the accommodations at the Old Road Guest Home. In every aspect, our hosts - the Buckwalters - provided service and comfort of the highest quality, and it was clear from the beginning that they are totally committed to offering their guests... You can rest assured that all the reviews about Old Road Guest Home are accurate! Lovely hosts, comfortable rooms, great location for restaurants and seeing the local sights. Seven members of our family all met here for a mini-family reunion and it was the perfect spot. It was as if we were meeting at one of our homes! Thank you... More

My mom and I stayed at Old Road Guest home when we went to see Moses at Sight and Sound. Our stay here was absolutely wonderful!! Gail was so kind and generous. The room was clean and comfortable, and we awoke to the sounds of horses trotting outside. The garden was gorgeous and the breakfast was just right. Please stay... More

My daughter and I stayed one night at the Guest Home. We felt like we were staying in the home of a dear friend. Dave and Gail were very friendly, attentive, and informative. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable beds, quiet, peaceful. The living/dining area was large & beautiful with special touches everywhere you looked. The backyard was spacious, beautifully... I'm writing this review several months later... but here it goes. We stayed there many months ago, June 2013. It was a short stay, only one night, but we felt very comfortable, like in no other homestay we've been. Dave and Gail were very attentive and kind, trying to help us with all the requests we made (information about places... More

I felt like I was at home, but better. It had snowed the night before, and they cleaned off the parking lot and all of the cars too. I have a medical condition and they even offered to carry my baggage to my car when I was leaving. It was very restful. I even wrote a poem about it." Everyone... More

We give this local B&B a top grade for the many options it offers in the Lancaster area. Quality and personal attention are at the forefront of the time spent at the Old Road Guest Home. They do it right. Special attention has been made to decorate the rooms and provide wonderful bed linens - with extra blankets, if needed.... More

This was my first visit to the area and I met up with family members here. We saw "Noah" at the Sight & Sound Theater and the location was ideal for not too much travel and good restaurants nearby. It was the perfect place! The clip-clop of horse hooves and photo opportunities from the front porch were great, but I... More
