Damp rooms. No AC. Dated rooms. Felt dirty. Balconies off of rooms not up to code: unsafe for little ones because the railings are too widely spaced. The only place to eat is an overpriced restaurant with poor food and limited selection. Overpriced. Poor service because it's understaffed. Takeout snack bar also expensive: $4 muffins??? We were glad we only... More

The staff was rude and the service was awful. More than half the activities they advertise do not actually happen because no one is signed up. It is too bad that such a beautiful structure and setting is so poorly run.

We were two couples visiting Skytop Lodge for 2 nights. We did not notice many couples, but did see loads of families having a great time. There are so many activities for families to enjoy. However, there is not much to do in the evening for couples. We resorted to visiting Mount Airy Casino at night for something to do.... More

The place is beautiful and it offers lots of activities to do : but when it comes to food options, it is totally below standard. There are only two places you can get food ; one main dining room and a bar room downstairs. Both more or less the same kitchen. Food is awful and overprice. Let alone the quality,... More

Okay, first of all I must tell you that I really enjoy Skytop Lodge. There are spots of excellent and value everywhere, the grounds, the location, the family activities, certain dining experiences, etc. This wonderful place just needs someone from the outside again, who is well traveled, etc. to be on top of things to take it to a deserving... Stayed long weekend for Family Reunion. Great old throwback lodge with some great traditions (lemonade and cookies at 4pm) and something for everyone...but inconsistent Things we Liked - Rooms were nice and perfectly adequate - decor updated - Staff generally professional and accomodating - Great selection of activities for range of ages. Standouts included guided walk examining edible/medicinal plants for... More

We had the pleasure to stay at the Skytop Lodge for a wedding. Spot is great but the rooms are really old fashionned and need a brush up. As well it was a real pain to get email contact with the lady in charge of the bookings for the wedding. We had a great time thanks to the beautiful area... More

My husband booked the Adventure Package one month ago for our trip to Skytop Lodge. My 12-year-old son was excited to try the rope course and utv ride around the property. We called this morning, the day of our arrival, to check on dinner reservations. The woman at the desk said that she noticed we booked the Adventure Package, which... More

Did not stay in the property but I was amazed by the beauty of it. It has all the activities any child would want to do, whether I'll be in the summer or winter. The zip lining course was full of adrenaline. Kids loved it! Make sure to search for Groupon. They had an offer which was beyond belief. So... More

My wife and I (live in upscale town in tri-state area, mid/early40's ) just got back from a 2 night / 3 day stay at Skytop in August. It was our second time there. We loved it the first time and felt the same way this time. As was the case last year, the place is physically beautiful. There is... More
