This was our second trip to Skytop. As a place to unwind away from the city, it can't be beat for the price. We had an all inclusive deal that included 3 meals daily plus certain activities are free. We had one room in the main building (not huge, but nicely renovated, comfortable bed) and one room in the cottages... More

We stayed at Skytop this past weekend to participate in a wedding and were very disappointed on many levels. We booked what we understood to be a "deluxe" room to find that it was really not up to the standards that "deluxe" implies. The room was very small with little counter space. I had called to request a safe in... More

As a Marketing & Events Planner, for an International Medical Device company, I know the importance of selecting the "right" venue for an Annual Corporate Sales Meeting. Located in the NE, sits one of the most eloquent, beautiful venues that should not be overlooked when considering planning your next Corporate event, whether large or small, the SkyTop Lodge catered to... Rich in history, this luxury hotel opened in 1928 and has kept its charm and elegance. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is fabulous, though a little pricey. The grounds are magnificent and sitting in one of the rocking chairs on the South porch feels like stepping into a chapter of The Great Gatsby. Kayaking and canoeing on... More

Perfect place if you like historic hotel and nature. Great nature hikes with Rick who seems to know everything about nature. One trail was obstical corse and learned a lot about plants, trees animals etc. Great views, food and events right on site. Tim the night manager was great, checking with us each night and taking care of minor issue... More

Beautiful grounds, the drive and approach to the lodge up the winding drive is impressive. The lodge is old, but I wish the walls could tell stories, because you know there is a lot of history there. The cottages streamside were spacious with very up to date amenities, and would be perfect for honeymooners looking for some quiet away from... More

We only got to stay here 2 days. I wish we would've had more time, there are so many beautiful trails. The grounds are just beautiful. The food is good. The Windsor dining room requires reservations and men have to wear jackets. Everyone can eat breakfast in there though. The tap room has good food and drinks. We didn't get... More

Skytop has beautiful buildings, gardens, and location but has some major faults and drawbacks. Menus are not available for restaurants, no TV channel guides, no bathroom toiletries, smaller rooms (some of which is due to the historical nature of the property. For a "Historic Hotel of America " property, it sorely lacks amenities. It seems like it's trying to be... More

We stayed here for a wedding the last weekend in May and can't wait to go back! The grounds are beautiful, food is delicious and service is great! There are so many different activities to do. It's the perfect place for a family vacation, a couple's retreat, or a friends' getaway.

There is something special about this place. I’m not an expert on high end resorts, but I have stayed at quite a few and can confidently say this is one of my favorite. It’s not a Ritz Carlton, but that’s what makes it so special: it has a great deal of character. A simple stroll through the corridors of the... More
