If you read the "bad " reviews...They all seem to be talking about the main inn...The townhomes do not have an elevator. The kids loved the pool, the skiing was great!!!! Clean and comfy!!!! more

Stayed at Shawnee Inn for a 2 day golf outing. Golf courses (27 holes) were fantastic and very well maintained, and absorbed alot of water after it rained the entire day. We made a big mistake staying at the Shawnee Resort. Especially given the cost which is comparable to a three to four star hotel. Upon arrival there was no parking available for hotel guests, except in a dirt lot about 1/4 mile from the hotel. It appeared that golfer used-up all the parking. I stayed at the Inn over the Memorial Day weekend. Parking lot too far away. Elevator was ancient and we were told to use the stairs because someone had to be called to operate it and no one was available at the time. Imagine carrying luggage and bags 3 flights of stairs! Adequate lodging but subpar for the asking price. Rooms are small. Mattresses are thin. The springs can be felt while you lay on it. Bathrooms were really small. Staff was friendly and made up for hotel shortcomings. more

This place really needs some fixing up! From a distance, the resort looks beautiful and spectacular on the river....but as you get closer.....definitley needs some painting and power washing.
