A group of us stayed at the Dutch Motel for a long weekend of hiking, 4 rooms in total. Pleasantly surprised with the updates. Asked manager and the hotel has been updated. Internet worked great, they have dog and cat friendly rooms, microwave/fridge in each room. The hot water takes a few minutes after turning on thus why the 4... More

I enjoy staying at unique, or mom-and-pop establishments, and I do so knowing that I cannot hold them to the same standard as a five-star hotel. So if a carpet is a bit worn in spots, or the TV doesn't get very many channels, I consider the fact that I paid a reasonable rate (in this case, $50), and my... More

I rented two rooms 10/4 & 10/5/12. Room #1 wasn't too bad. Room #2 was disgusting. There was mold all around the bathroom ceiling first, which you could deal with for a night or two. My son and his girlfriend with another couple stayed in room # 2. The second night in that room, we had arrived very late, was... More

I got to the motel at approx 6 pm on a monday afternoon, there was nobody there. I rang the bell and called the phone multipal times, finally 25 minutes later some lady came stumbling up the driveway with a case of beer and I met her in the office. Her eyes were glossy, speech was slurred, im not even... More

Stayed in this hotel while attending Hamburg reptile show. I say stayed because no one slept. HORRIBLE does not sum up our experience. The phone was covered in crust. The microwave had never been cleaned. The room contained 2 traps one for mice and one for rats. No AC. There was actual blood on the wall in the bathroom and... More

I am temped to give this Motel a 5 star review, but only because I awoke in the morning and found out that I had not been murdered in my bed as I slept, although we did spend some time looking for the dead body owing to the amount of flies that had taken residence in the room. Firstly I... More

First, let me say that I am not a picky, snobby traveler who only wants new things. All I need is something that's clean, and the Dutch Motel looked kind of adorable from the outside at night. At $45, it was a cheap place to sleep. I've stayed in some real dumps by necessity. This place actually creeped me out.... More

Although I didn't find the "Extremely Clean Room" their website touts, neither did I have the "Gross" or "Terrible" experience of other reviewer. It's cheap and OK for a night.

Thought I would I give it a try, despite the reviews of others, as the price was right. There was trash under the bed and thick dust & dirt along floor edges by the wall. Black mold along bathroom floor edges and soap scum in bathtub. Cigarette burn holes in the bedspread. Thankfully the heater & fridge worked. I wish... More

We stopped in here in the middle of the night; it looked run down, but we were really tired and wanted a cheap place (in the $50 region), so we decided to give it a shot. Well, it was right in our budget, but the room was nasty; everything looked dirty, and there was dirt actually IN my son's bed,... More
