We stayed at the Towne House Inn for a wedding in St. Marys PA. It was recommended to us because of its convienience to downtown St. Marys and the local 'nightlife' for after the reception. When we arrived we were greeted by a very unfriendly receptionist at the front desk and an old musty smell...my first comment was that it smells like grandma's house. We were directed to our rooms in a separte building across the parking lot. Once we located our building, we entered to peeling wallpaper in the hall, stained carpet, and two old bleached and dirty chairs, in what i guess they would call a 'sitting area'. We finally got to our room and were very disappointed in what we saw. The wallpaper was peeling from the walls and the ceiling was cracked from very obvious water leakage from the airconditioner in the room above. The carpet was stained and there was another chair in the corner, very similiar to the one in the 'sitting area', that was also stained, bleached and had visible MOLD... more
