The location, rooms, ambiance, and hospitality could not have been better. We first visited the Brownstone Inn last summer on a beautiful sunny day and decided to book three rooms for ourselves and some guests that would be part of our son's wedding. We had high expectations for our two day visit. Despite waking up to a rainy wedding day,... More

My husband & I were so blessed with our stay at the charming Brownstone Colonial Inn. The hospitality by the host and hostess was superb and so delightful. We stayed in the Queen Anne room and were treated to a tasty and filling breakfast. Not only did we have a good nights rest and our bellies full but we were... More

We had a wonderful refreshing weekend and staying at the Brownstone Colonial Inn was a delight. We were out and about so coming back to settle in for the night was a comfort. The hosts are friendly and willing to help you with navigation and suggestions of where to eat, shops and antiques and information of the general area. Breakfast... More

Thank you for writing such a positive review for the Brownstone Colonial Inn! We too love history and the ambiance of an old home! We've joked already about providing antique chamber pots under each bed instead of having put private in-room bathrooms into this old house, but decided against it in case someone might leave us a surprise! But seriously,... More

This is a great spot to tuck into Lancaster County/area and enjoy as much or as little as you would like -- antiques close by (too close...I shipped two big boxes home), Amish country experiences, rest and relaxation....ahhh! An easy drive from Baltimore/Annapolis area, as we did. This will be our 'home base' when we return to the area. Great... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our inn! We love being in the country, yet so close to many attractions; and we sincerely love running our own business of accommodating people's needs while traveling and getting away from life's challenges! We look forward to your future stay with us at the Brownstone Colonial Inn! More

We had our anniversary weekend over Memorial Day at the historic home. We enjoyed the landscape & attention to details. Half work & half play this was a great out of town rest bit that a hotel could never offer. Love to find another time to visit and stay.

The hosts were so nice I hate to mention any shortfalls. The only place to sit other than your room was the parlor with saggy very uncomfortable sofas. Need comfortable furniture. The room was lovely, although it had no closet....pitfalls of an antique home. the food was great, and the hosts were very helpful. I would have appreciated a little... More

Thank you for taking time to review our inn! Indeed, an 18th century home had limited amenities, although we try to include modern conveniences while retaining the authenticity of the period; alas, instead of closets (which there weren't any in the day), each room has original Shaker pegs on which to hang clothes. In the colonial times, they efficiently hung... More

My wife and I stayed two nights for a weekend getaway without the children. We were in awe of the beautiful Inn. Our room was beyond incredible, and our hosts Brenda and Mark were amazing. The breakfasts were out of this world, and even more wonderful was the great conversations with Brenda and Mark and the other friendly guests. We... More

So glad to especially enjoyed the quiet location of our b&b! Though in the country, we are only a couple minutes from the Adamstown antique markets, about 15 minutes from Ephrata, and within a half hour of Lititz and Intercourse and Amish attractions! In years past, being in the country was sometimes difficult to locate. But with GPS and i-phones,... More

What a wonderful visit we had! The historic inn is gorgeous, and Brenda and Mark make the most gracious hosts you could hope for. Delicious food and great conversation, all in the midst of a comfortable and beautifully restored colonial farmhouse. Fun! Thank you and we can't wait to see you again! Rick and Dana.
