We vacationed here with our family. This place is more of a property management place, than a resort or hotel. It was a bunch of cabins around a lake. We were late arrivals. The staff had left us an envelope, which was supposed to have the keys to our cabin in it. We got the envelope. No keys. We got... More

The grounds of this resort are very pretty and I loved the two mile nature walk, which was largely deserted while we were there. Unfortunately, our cabin was not as satisfactory. We had asked for a specific cabin and when it was unavailable the man on the phone told my traveling companion that he was giving us one just like... More

It was our fifth season and it keeps getting better and better. Family owned and operated, MSL is a gem hidden in the woods. Having stayed in most types of cabins available around the lake (33, 62, 63, 34, 37) we decided to repeat number 63. This is one of the better cabins on the property. Since this was our... More

Our second stay in #23 at MSL (May 29 - June 2, 2014) was even more pleasant than the first (May 30 - June 3, 2013), but if you aren't a nature lover or if your travel style is fancy, upscale, etc., look elsewhere. As always, do your homework before and after choosing to stay here--we bring bathroom hand soap,... More

We went for a weekend to attend a wedding on the resort. We stayed in cabin #22, second floor of a "cabin". Clean but very small. The bathroom was tiny, I am short and had difficulty in the shower. The wedding area was very nice and I understand that some of the cabins are very nice. The staff was nice.... More

My husband and I stayed in Cabin #7 while there for a wedding. The cabin was very musty smelling! The shower was so small. The bedding was gross! We were afraid we'd get bedbugs!! I will NEVER go again. The price so was outrageous!!! They need to lower the price ALOT!! We had to clean up b4 we left, take... More

This Resort is such a sweet place. Our son and his fiancé chose this location for their wedding and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Accommodations were super with all family and friends who stayed in the cabins VERY happy. The reception facility is beautiful, ALL the staff so pleasant, accommodating, and helpful. Food was delicious and presented... More

We stayed in cottage 32 for three nights for our anniverssary. The cottage was perfect. The only downside was that the facilities at the resort were not open. Almost all the roads inside the resort were closed till the weekend. So the money we spent was not worth it. They could reduce the prices / let guests know of this... More

I recently stayed in Cabin #32, Cottage Suite and it was nothing short of amazing! Cabin is brand new updated with all amenities (gas fireplace, king size bed, jacuzzi, etc.). The grounds are beautiful and this cabin is secluded, nestled right in the woods. Check-in and out was easy breezy and the owners are very nice and helpful. If you... More

Stayed in cabin #63! WOW WOW WOW! What can I say!! Large bedrooms, LARGE bathrooms! PERFECT!!!! Right on the lake! It was snowing the night we stayed! Plows were on it!!! Roads were cleared and travel was easy! Porch was terrific! Knotty pine decor, very country. I'm more of a contemporary gal myself, but it was perfect for a cabin... More
