We loved this place, both because it was lovely and because the inkeepers were very hospitable and friendly. The house is a classic victorian pile with lovely porches both upstairs and downstairs. The parlors are fantastic dark wood and seem to go on for miles.
The inn keepers, especially Daphne went out of their way to make us feel at home. We were going to a reunion /family wedding they fielded dozens of calls, gave me pain killers when I needed them (for my hung-over husband) . At first we were a little taken aback by the breakfast in your room idea, but we just asked to have breakfast on the porch and all was great. We always felt that we could ask for what we needed or for information.
The breakfasts were simple but with great ingredients, very high quality meats and cheese. The bread could of used an up grade to meet the quality of the other ingredients but that was my only complaint. The portions are very generous.
