This place needs some work. Curtains in room very old and barely hanging and torn. Room very small with small bed and dirty old carpeting. Electrical outlets are downright dangerous. Bathroom is very small knees have to be to the side if sitting on the toilet. Door had a 3 inch gap on one side and none on the other.... More

I didn't expect a fancy place but was disappointed in the rooms. It was like staying in one of grandma's run down bedrooms with Small rooms andno closet. The window unit A/C didn't cool the room. The door had a crack in the opening so it looked open at all times (light would come through). The maid service stated they... More

I tried the Pantall passing through Punxatawney on a trip east. Their web site was down but posted a number to call. Had I called Pantall direct, the room would have been $55 instead of the $75 that I was charged when I went through Hotels.com. It's an old downtown hotel, sort of funky, as-is unrestored, one slow elevator. There... More

we went there and had a nice night. the bed was confortable and it was fairly quiet. we stayed on the 3rd floor and thru the night we heard what sounded like someone whispering in the hall way but when i peeped out the door there was no one there... ghosts perhaps..it sure is old enough to have them.

My wife and I used to come to Punxy quite often and would stay at the Pantall. Hats off to the new owner, its much cleaner than it used to be and the woman on the front desk in the evenings is great! Very friendly and she went out of her way to help us. Look forward to coming back... More

I don't even know where to start with this review. I suppose I'll start with the beginning of my 2-night stay. Upon opening the door to the Pantall Hotel lobby, I was opening the door of a sauna. It was at least 85 degrees in there. I would not be surprised if it was 100. They had a heating issue... More

My father in law and I have been coming to the Pantall Hotel for the last five years and each year we witness another decline. This visit in October saw the absence of their dining room which is completely gone. The heat in the hotel cannot be controlled for each room. Therefore, once it is turned on, you get what... More

We had a Fall meeting for our club at the Pantall in October 2011. Some of the comments on here are from the last ownership. Although an old hotel and renovations in the process the manager and staff were very accomodating. Yes the hotel is old. Yes the rooms are old. The rate reflected what we got. It's not the... More

Staff very helpfull.Stayed one night and they put 8 yamaha VMAX motorcycles up in the old horse livery. What a treat to have dry motorcycles to start the next morning ride back to Toronto. The VMOA(vmax owners association) all gave it the thumbs up award and are planning on staying again this year. MAXGZ,VMOA#3376.

Very dusty. You have to flush toilet a few times to get hot water then it will scaled you. Service desk is not real professional. I have stayed here in the past its an old hotel yes. But they say they are up grading and remodeling? I would like to know where. If this was first time here I would... More
