By far the owners made our stay amazing. They were extremely helpful in helping us choose what to see in the area. They put a touch of small details to our stay that really told us our visit was appreciated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious as well. The garden and view of the wildlife from their... More

This is our 3rd, 4th, or is it our 5th time back to this B&B. What more can I say? We couldn't have possibly felt more relaxed and at home. The accommodations are impeccable and the hospitality exemplary. I would strongly recommend Mountain Hideaway for anyone!

The pitch black, gravel road at 9pm at night, scared my Boyfriend a little bit. He was ready to turn around. But then we saw the sign for Mountain Hideway and he calmed down a little. We went up the driveway, saw a beautiful house, and then parked. We went up to the door and was warmly greeted by Sandy,... More

Stayed here while on a weekend anniversary trip. First time for us at a B&B but not the last. Very nice place to stay, the house, the view, the hosts were all just wonderful. We will stay here again the next chance we get. We would recommend this place to anyone, it is the best place we have ever stayed... More

My fiance and I have never been to a Bed and Breakfast, and I have to say I will probably never go to any other than Mountain Hideaway. The owners are ABSOLUTELY wonderful!! The rooms are wonderful, clean, and very tidy. I felt we didn't pay enough because they offered so much free stuff, to include, free food, drinks etc.... More

Mountain Hideaway is a very special place. It doesn't get any better than this. We celebrated our 25th anniversary by staying locally and what a delight it was to have a stress free place to put up our feet and feel at home. It was so quiet and owners are a delight. They cater to your every need with their... More

Accommodating to my late arrival. Nice, spacious room. Well appointed. Clean, modern bath. Great breakfast. Gorgeous grounds. They really made every effort to make the stay pleasant. Would be my place of choice were I to return to that area.

This was an amazing hideaway. We were in the area to enjoy some caves and spend a weekend away together. Mountain Hideaway was exactly what we needed. We read the reviews and were hopeful this would be a wonderful weekend. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived Sandy made us feel welcome. What a wonderful innkeeper she is.... More

This was our second time at the Mountain Hideaway bed and breakfast. It was outstanding last year and it was outstanding again this year. If you are going to State College and need a place to stay and you don't ceck out the Hideaway, you will be making a big mistake! Great place, fantastic view and the owners make you... More

My husband & I stayed here for the weekend with a great experience from beginning to end. It is a prime location for nature enthusiasts as the Black Moshannon State Park is right in the backyard but also there is delicious dining opportunities nearby in State College. The innkeepers, Sandy and Carlton, provide warm hospitality with great attention to detail.... More
