OK, as the desk clerk said when I walked in at 1:15 am, "there's good news and bad news, which do you want first?" The bad news, you don't have a room here. The good news, you're staying in another hotel (the Westin) for free. The Westin's nice, I saved some money, the people at both hotels were polite, I... More

A fair number of rooms have a view inside the hotel. Thus you can hear all the noise from the bar. The rooms are outdated, not repaired, and quite dirty. I had no alarm clock in my room. The water pressure in the shower was ridiculous. The beds are comfortable though. The service is good, but the infrastructure are just... More

I recently said at this hotel. I am a regular business traveler, but this was a personal trip. I bought on hotwire.com . good price. $120. or so. when I check in they offer me a city view. why not. great view of the city. no question. But 1) I heard the tv in the room very clearly. odd because... More

I travel quite frequently to Pittsburgh for business and decided to try something new to up my SPG points. BIG mistake that I will never make again. I feel like I'm at a motel and can't believe I spent $140 per night when you factor in parking. $2.99 for a bottle of water from the gift shop? Insane! My room... More

I was attending the SGCD conference in Pittsburgh. This was my first time to the city and I was very impressed. Some business associates took me out on Carson street on Saturday night. Boy was that fun. Too bad I am about 25 years too old and 1 wife too married for that area! (Just kidding honey). The hotel itself... More

We stayed at this hotel in February for a weekend trip to see the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens. We had absolutely no issues with the hotel whatsoever. I have read many reviews stating it is dirty - no complaints from us! We only ate at the hotel restaurant once for breakfast, and it was average. The Starbucks coffee in... More

There are not many positive comments I can provide on this property. I can say that the staff is very friendly. The hotel is dirty. I am currently staying here and I am on my second room. The carpet is stained, the curtains are stained, basic amenities are missing from the room, the bathroom is rundown and the location lends... More

The view from our room was pretty cool - overlooking the Monongahela River and downtown Pittsburgh on the other side. Unfortunately there is an active railroad track between the hotel and the river. Although we were there only about 24 hours, there were LOTS of trains. The noise wasn't terrible, just a slight annoyance. Our room was clean and well... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your awesome view from our hotel. Being located right on the riverfront gives us spectacular views of the city. We know we may love the history of our trains, but our guests may not always feel the same, so we have begun a $15 million renovation project which does include noise abatement measures for... More

First the hotel is renovating and is in much need of it. The rooms overlooking the lobby are so noisey you cant even drown it out with the tv in your room. Furnishings are out dated. It cost 45 to get here by taxi from the airport. Can't sleep with all the lobby noise. Won't stay here ever again. Walls... More
