We stayed here to attend the Three Rivers Arts Festival, take in a Pirates game, and visit my daughter, a Pitt student. Hotel has been recently renovated and rooms are nicely decorated, but ours was a bit small. Getting in and out of the hotel provided most difficult. Granted, we were right in the middle of the stree fair and... more

I had gone to this hotel a couple of years ago and had a less than stellar experience, but decided to go ahead and give it another try now that the room renovations had been done. (Still some renovations/addition being done in the front of the hotel, but does not effect rooms.) We arrived a couple of hours before check-in... more

Gorgeous newly renovated hotel.. we couldn't believe how nice it was for the price. Beds were comfy. Nice view of the city and quiet. The staff was very courteous and drew us a map of what bars were nearby. Only problem was our toilet. When we arrived we noticed the bathroom smelled badly like a septic tank. Our toilet became... more

I'm not a super picky traveler; however, the little things start to add up. When I checked in and the room was extremely hot, I just adjusted the thermostat. Then I noticed the washcloth with some orange stains on it - simple, just dropped it on the floor to be changed. Then I chose what I wanted for dinner on... more

We attended with our daughter for a convention. It started when we arrived and we were told they would go get us a cart for our luggage. After 15 minutes we gave up and unloaded it ourselves and carried it up without a cart. The employee on duty behind the front desk was unfriendly and told me the only parking... more

This property is way below the average Hilton. The rooms are tiny even in the executive floors, and internet was awfully slow. But the worst part is the service. It simply does not exist, from the doorman to the front desk, everyone gives you the feeling, you are just not welcome. Looks like this place needs a stronger management in... more

I am generally not picky with hotels but this was egregious. The wireless did not work for the whole week (apparently the demand was too high) and the wired connection was also down. They did not give us any large towels (!) and when we asked, they brought one towel after a few hours. Over the next few days they... more

This was one of my worst hotel experiences ever. For the price we paid we had basically no service. I stayed there for 5 nights and every day we had a new problem either in the room or with the service in general. Very unhelpful and incompetent staff. The first two nights, we were in a room near the elevators,... more

First off the Employee's are wonderful, the hotel is beautiful but the management is terrible. I surprised my wife by taking her to place I proposed five years ago. I had it all set up same hotel, same table (Thanks to Dean, the restaurant manager) and a suite. The night started off bad when after a 15 minute wait in... more

I stayed here for a Bachelorette party in May of 2008. The hotel itself is nice. There was some sort of a convention going on and it took me about 15 minutes to wait in line for someone to check me in. We were going to Station Square, and it is directly across the bridge in front of the Hilton.... more
