We very much enjoyed our stay at The Parador and felt that Ed was a very gracious host. Our only complaint was with the shower, really the shower curtain. I wish they could increase the size of the curtain rod. It required us to become more intimate with the shower curtain than we would prefer. Other than that, we enjoyed... More

My wife won a gift certificate for the Parador Inn at a YMCA fund raiser so first I need to give the Parador's owner, Ed, kudos for his community involvement. We took our stay during a brutal Pittsburgh winters day. Making a reservation using the online service was simple and quick. Like many B&B's, the Parador is a restored/converted Victorian... More

Got a Groupon for Parador Inn for my parents anniversary thinking it will be a great new experience for them, since I love BnB experiences. Tried to make some basic enquiries on phone about a couple of dietary restrictions (for next morning' s breakfast) my parents have, to which Ed, the owner, was very rude and curt (maybe thats his... I receive good guest reviews because I know what I am doing and what I can properly handle. I don't offer shuttle service because I can't leave the Inn to transport people, I stopped hosting weddings because it was taking away from my ability to be an Innkeeper. I can keep my guest room prices low because I minimize the... More

We celebrated our Anniversary at the Parador Inn. We stayed for 3 nights. The place is gorgeous and very uniquely decorated. We spent a lot of time just wondering around admiring all the details. The rooms are spacious. We stayed in the Lady Palm room and it was the entire top floor. Super comfortable bed (always important) and we loved... More

For 35 years, we have celebrated our anniversary in the City (we live in the north hills), staying at urban hotels and B&Bs. The Parador Inn was new to us and we were pleased with the Victorian character of the property, stained glass and furnishings--it had perhaps the largest mirrored Wardrobe we have ever seen! There are many attractive, large,... More

My wife and I celebrated her birthday by driving 5 miles north from our home in Mt. Lebanon and spending the night at the Parador Inn. The Parador is located in the Northside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. We were met at the door by one of the owner's, Ty, who proceeded to give us a tour of the wonderful Inn. The... More

From the moment I walked into the main hallway of The Parador Inn I knew that I was in a very special place. This restored Victorian mansion is beyond grand with original stained glass windows, beautiful hardwood floors, fireplaces in virtually every room, and lavish furnishings with a Caribbean touch. Every room has its own story and style and really... More

The Parador Inn is a terrific alternative to a hotel. The location is perfect if you're going to see a game. You are a 10 minute walk to the stadiums and attractions along the North Shore Riverfront Park. You're also a short distance across the bridge to Downtown. This is a historic home so expect it to be old (e.g.,... More

We spent one evening at the Parador in the African Tulip Room. Amazing experience overall; beautiful room and mansion filled with charm and gorgeous furnishings! If you have an attention to detail you will love this place! Ed was a fantastic host and served a delicious breakfast in the morning (plentiful stuffed french toast, bacon, pear parfaits, pumpkin bread). Again,... More

We stayed two nights at the Parador Inn in the Bird of Paradise during our trip to Pittsburgh. It's a lovely place. PROs: - good location. free parking. Restaurants within walking distance. within walking distance to the aviary. - excellent service and host. Ed provided great guidelines on what to see in the city, discounted tickets, driving/walking directions, etc. Cute... More

I appreciate Gwen taking the time to give this feedback. I also appreciate her mentioning things she liked and didn't. I take both positive and negative comments to heart and do try and learn and improve on this feedback. I wish she was more specific when saying my breakfasts were so-so. The breakfast breads we served each morning we made... More
