It was decent. My husband, friend and I stayed mid-week and it wasn't busy. It was a little shabby and customer service was terrible from the front counter. House keeping was nice. They charged us for the third person and we had no idea until it showed up on our card. Definitely will not stay here or a Quality Inn... more

This hotel brought to possibilty every nightmare you had read about hotels not changing linens, dirty towels, unsanitary comforters, etc. Someone had disconnected the fire alarm in our room, also. 1-800-Quality Inn said it was not their responsibility because it was a franchise so be aware if you book a Quality Inn. more

We stayed in this pit for 3 nights and service was non-existant. The hotel has not been updated in years, the lobby is tiny and uncomfortable and smells like smoke. My kids developed bad coughs from the smell. We had a rollaway with no pillow or extra blankets. When asked for a pillow, we were told to come get it... more

I will need to reassess my understanding of the Choice Hotels branding. Formerly I had thought the precedence order, from high to low, would be Clarion, Quality, Comfort, Sleep and finally Econolodge/Rodeway. Now I understand that Comfort has superceded Quality in this ranking. Comfort Inn/Suites properties tend to be newer, with better renovations. There are even newly built Comfort properties... more

I stayed at the Quality Inn with some old college friends. The location of the hotel is great and walking distance to many area restaurants and events. The staff of the hotel was extremely friendly and recommended a lot of great events going on in the area. The shuttle drivers helped move our luggage in and out of the hotel... more

Much nicer than I expected! My expectations were low given the reviews. i chose it for price, location, and Panera Bread. It was so great to be able to park for free and know you could get good, cheap food. The room was very clean and more than adequate. My only complaint was that it was freezing cold and we... more

I booked this hotel for a conference at Pitt, and brought a friend as I planned to visit Pittsburgh and Fallingwater as well. I booked mostly due to the price and the location (very close to U of Pittsburgh), and the fact that it had free wi-fi. Panera Bread is convenient to have there since this Choice Hotel does not... more

Highlights: free wi-fi, panera bread on-site, decent size bathroom Lowlights: faint smell of smoke, outdated decor and furnishings, slow elevators Stayed for two nights on trip to PIttsburgh to attend Steelers game with friend. Did not spend much time in hotel however it was adequate for our below-level expectations. Ashtray holders along hallway were a suprise as was the faint... more

We chose the Quality Inn for its value, free parking, and proximity to University of Pittsburgh. Were that the only criteria, this hotel would get fairly high marks. The location requires a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of campus, but the neighborhood was decent enough that doing so was a viable option. And it was great to park the... more
