the room may be slightly old school, but it was clean and surprisingly quiet, especially considering the location. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable which was the most important thing to me.

Both nights we stayed here, our sleep was interrupted by really loud guests. Hotel mgt promptly sent up security, but it's an uphill battle. Walls are super thin. (We called security after shouting/cursing, but you can hear people's regular conversations too, several rooms away.) The lower price just isn't worth it. Why pay for a room when you can't sleep?

This hotel was one of the cheapest in the area. It has a great location and was good for the price. The hotel and room itself were very clean. Our only "complaint" is that the bathroom (paint) looked a bit run-down, although also clean.

Have stayed here 5 times in the last few months...clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff and easy to get to in a unfamiliar city. Courtesy van is great service as we were visiting hospital several times a day. The biggest extra is Emily the van driver. She is full of information about Pittsburgh and its history.

We booked 2 nights due to the proximity to Carnegie Mellon and the reasonable price using a travel search engine. While it was an older property, it was clean and the front desk staff were very helpful. They told us that they give discounts if you have a child at CMU. I wouldn't be surprised if they have similar discounts... More

Stayed for 2 nights and nice hotel with all you need. Rooms adequate and clean with bath, shower, fridge and microwave. Staff very helpful and free parking is a bonus. Hotel easy to find, but good walk into town. Approximately 45 mins taking the shortest route which I would not recommend. No bar or restaurant in the hotel which is... More

Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We're happy to be the only hotel in the area with complimentary guest parking. Our hotel is only three miles from downtown and near many bus routes. Since we're not a full-service hotel, we don't have a full restaurant or bar. However, the attached Panera Bread... More

Older hotel in the process of being remodeled but clean. Outstanding service from the staff. Family member needed specialized surgery by surgeon in the area. Here for 15 days & couldn't have asked for a better place to stay;if needed any additional items in the room, all we had to do was ask. They provide a shuttle service & it... More

Thank you so much for the nice review! I am glad we were able to be your "home away from home" during your recent stay. I hope everything went well at the hospital. If you are returning to the area, give us a call. We would be happy to have you again! Sincerely, Ben Greiner Assistant General Manager More

Pros: Cheap stay about a 10-15 minute walk from the Cathedral of Learning, very convenient to Forbes Ave. Free parking, Wi-fi. Panera Bread on the 1st floor. Also a short distance from Schenley Park and a quick drive to downtown. Free Wi-Fi. Cons: Not a good-looking hotel room. Had to put shoulder to door to open it up (a handicapped-accessible... More

The motel was in the perfect location for us which is why we chose it. The parking is free - as others have mentioned - so that's a plus. The quality was a bit less than I would have liked. The linens were clean. The caulk job in the bathroom was amateur. The mattress should probably have been retired a... More

The good things about this place are that it has free parking and it's in walking distance from U of Pittsburgh, everything else about it is bad! The balcony door does not close properly, I SAW A STAIN ON THE SHEET, and the channel guid had nothing to do with the actual channels which was pretty disappointing. The walls made... More
