I would highly recommend the Inn. It is beautifully and tastefully decorated with quality furniture and artwork. All the decorative items are carefully selected, fortunately there is no frilly lace or fluffy "over the top" decor that can be present in some B and Bs.The bed was incredibly comfortable, pillows were so soft yet supportive that I ordered 2 for... We did not stay here; we only visited for afternoon tea. (But we hope to return for an overnight visit someday). We have had several afternoon tea experiences in England (including the Orangerie, London, and the Pump Room, Bath) and in the US. The Fernwood TeaRoom in the Inn on Negley by far tops them all. Simply a relaxing, slow-paced,... More

The Inn on Negley is a bit pricey -especially on weekends-but worth it. If you are visiting on University business or a medical visit at UPMC, skip the other choices and stay here. Wonderful rooms with fireplaces, great bedding, a gourmet chef prepared breakfast, and afternoon tea and treats. The owners go beyond your expectations to provide everything you need... More

This was our fourth stay at the Inn in the past 14 months. We absolutely love it! Liz, the innkeeper, cannot do enough for her guests, whether it is offering food or sightseeing tips. The breakfast is full, hot and made to order. The afternoon features delicious cookies and beverages, with wine and cheese before the dinner hour. The rooms... More

My wife and I have enjoyed several delightful stays at the Inn on Negley when we visited family and friends in Pittsburgh. So it was a natural choice when I recently visited Pittsburgh for a combination business/personal trip. It was like returning home, and seemed even better than I had remembered it! I had a warm welcome from the staff... More

We arrived totally exhausted at The Inn on Negley, after a very long flight from Europe, where we live. We both had a headache and thought that our long planned return to Pittsburgh after 30 years would turn out not quite the way we had planned....until we arrived at The Inn on Negley. The charming, well kept and spotlessly clean... More

This B&B is really very good indeed and puts most others to shame. I have only a couple of minor niggles. The airconditioning is somewhat antiquated and noisy (but it works fine) and there is too much stuff around the hotel with price-tags on it. Personally I loathe knickknacks and to see them for sale only increases my loathing! It... More

With family in town, we are frequent visitors to Pittsburgh. Much to our surprise -- and joy -- via Select Registry, we recently discovered The Inn on Negley and will now be regulars! The 1880's home has an immaculate exterior and is beautifully decorated with lovely antique furnishings and outfitted with plush comfortable beds. Liz is an on-site proprietor who... More

I booked the Inn on Negley after reading all the wonderful reviews here on TA. I've never been steered wrong from this site, and The Inn was no exception. It was truly lovely. My husband and I had been apart for almost 2 months and were going to reunite in Pittsburgh before driving into WV for a long, leisurely weekend.... More

I totally enjoyed a recent afternoon tea at Inn on Negley. Wonderful tea, great food, and beautiful Inn. Highly recommend for a restful and relaxing event. Main sitting room was somewhat stuffy due to no AC in that particular room.
