Wonderfully comfortable and fitted out with everything one might need and more. Decor and furnishings excellent and good public rooms for relaxing. Service also outstanding. In those respects, the best Inn we have experienced. Breakfast was good but not as exceptional as we expected.

What a wonderful location! My sister's future MIL hosted her bridal shower here and with 11 people, we had our own private room. It was tastefully decorated and beautiful. The Inn on Negley also has a private parking lot in the back meant for their guests but street parking is plentiful around there, as well. The tea room is simply... More

My husband, my son, and I stayed in the Northern Spy Suite while visiting Carnegie Mellon and Pitt. The public area design was (to my taste) a little fussy, but our room was a generous space for three, with its separate sitting room with a fold-out couch, and beautifully appointed in every detail. The bathroom was roomy and so well... More

My friend found the Inn on Negley's high tea via TeaMap, and they served a really lovely lunch. The tea selection was great, and the sandwiches, scones, and dessert snacks were equally fantastic. The chocolate-dipped chocolate madeleines & lemony chicken salad sandwiches were an especially nice touch! The tea menu includes a large sampling of fruity, not fruity, herbal, decaffeinated,... When I used to visit Pittsburgh I would always stay at the charming bed and breakfast, Inn on Negley. The rooms are lovely. Very charming, high quality antiques and bedding. Excellent breakfasts made to order by resident cook. Friendly hosts. Near Carnegie Mellon campus. Definitely my favorite bed and breakfast ever. Pricey and worth every penny.

I attended a bridal shower high tea last sunday. I love high tea and this was amazing. The selection of tea was excellent. The food served was delicious. This was such a nice place for a small shower. There were 18 of us.

Our Valentine's Day weekend in Pittsburgh was greatly enhanced by staying at this romantic and accommodating bed and breakfast. Arriving on a snowy Friday afternoon, the staff gave us a warm welcome. We stayed on the first floor suite (can't remember its name) but the bed was raised and had a canopy, making us feel a bit like royalty! Truly... More

I am gluten intolerant but love afternoon tea (or high tea) with scones and sandwiches. My husband and I tried the gluten free version of the Inn on Negley's tea service and had a wonderful afternoon. The beautiful room in which tea was served was warm and cozy on a winter afternoon. Service was exceptional. Our teapots were refilled and... More

Thank you for trying our gluten free high tea! We are always trying to improve our ability to meet our customers' needs, including dietary restrictions. Gluten free baking has been a big challenge for us as we see an ever increasing demand for it. Glad to know that we are living up to the challenge! Thanks again! More

We stayed for two nights in the Green Apple Suite. The room was ready on time and very clean. The host showed us around and I reminded him that I have a nut allergy. He assured me the kitchen staff was already informed. The bed was comfortable but the inn uses radiator heating and it took about two hours for... More

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you found your room to be exceptionally clean and comfortable. But it is very unfortunate that your stay was not as perfect as it should have been. If you decide to stay with us in the future, we do have rooms with central air/heating instead of steam heat radiators. We can... More

The Inn at Negley is a wonderful old Victorian B&B-- and their afternoon high tea (reservations required) is a "must". Went there today with a group of 5 women to celebrate an upcoming wedding. The tea selection is amazing... the food is delicious and elegant (finger sandwiches, scones, fruit, and a selection of desserts)... and the service is friendly and... More
