The hotel is Clean, just what you need when you're away from home. Basic breakfast is included. Restaurant staff could be more courteous. Parking is a bit tight be adequate. Not too fancy and not a dive.

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting PBGH in April. I didn't want to spend the money hotels on the river were asking, so I was happy to find this hotel. It was easy to find, although located in a hilly part of the city (kind of a joke, because the entire city is pretty hilly!).... More

For a reasonable rate, my room had a full kitchen. Nice, basic accommodations, and a good, free breakfast. Nothing fancy, not a rat trap. Good for a night or two if you're in town for work. Close to the major highways and tasty local fare.

This is a great hotel with wonderful staff. It was very quiet, even right next to the elevator. But you need to have a rental car. It's not very close to any shopping or restaurants. West Penn Hospital is nearby, which made it convenient for me. It's not a good place to walk around at night.

This is probably one of my top experiences in terms of customer service, they were extremely nice, and it was a very busy race weekend in Pitt. It is a 15-20 min walk through a neighborhood of very nice houses to get to Pitt/Carnegie Mellon. A bunch of really nice restaurants/pubs and a few little shops. The hotel itself is... More

First the positives: as others have said, the customer service is quite good. The staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. My compliments to housekeeping who went the extra mile to start my dishwasher (that I had been waiting to start until the end of my 3 day stay). Everything in my room was clean, including the linens which is most... More

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for your positive comments about our guest service. This is reflective of a team culture that we work very hard to employ on a daily basis. As to the worn furniture, we are happy to let you know that we are in the process of undergoing a total renovation in the coming months. We believe... More

This hotel has the cutest extended stay units. I had a full kitchen, dining area, living room, separate bedroom and very clean bathroom area. The front desk staff are the most hospitable ever! Parking was easy and it was very close to the University. Wow!

I have been coming to U Pitt for more than a year but this was the first time I stayed at the Residence Inn. It's very close to campus and the staff was amazing. I was impressed with how clean and spacious the rooms are. The morning breakfast and workout room was also a perk for me. I will definitely... More

I echo many of the prior comments. The staff was excellent and very friendly. We checked in around midnight, and the front desk person was friendly and intelligent. We had a minor issue in our bathroom, and the maintenance man was so respectful and nice in how he handled it, considering it was now after 1AM. The room was clean,... More

The staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. However our room and the hallway smelled. I know it is a Residents Inn but many people in and around hotel seemed like they were permanent residents. The neighborhood is not great for walking about. The pool and whirlpool were great.
