This is by far THE BEST HOTEL IN PITTSBURGH! I've traveled throughout the world, and the staff at the Renaissance (affectionately called The Ren by my colleagues and I) is second to none! I've stayed at other hotels in Pittsburgh, and nothing compares. Although the entire staff provides excellent service, Seth and Jessica in reception go above and beyond to... More

We spent two nights at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel in September. The staff was wonderfully attentive and helped with all of our needs, from baggage to valet, dinner to events in the city. Our room was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. It was also well equipped and stocked with any essentials we may have forgotten, and the bed was comfortable.... More

Flew in the for the weekend to watch a Steelers game. I must say if you are a sports fan this is the hotel to stay in. PNC park is a 5 min walk away and Heinz field is 15mins. You wont mind walking because the scenery is magnificent. Only transportation you will need is from the airport and back.... More

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel: the lobby is gorgeous ( it is a former theatre), the rooms are clean, with excellent beds and bedding, free wi-fi, and very comfortable. I loved it. Service was accommodating, courteous and friendly. Definitely a repeat. Great location.

Kaitlynn, the front desk team and the whole staff made the stay amazing. During check in Kaitlynn found out it was my wife’s birthday. When we came back to the room after dinner we had a wonderful surprise. Champagne on ice! What a nice touch and very thoughtful. Taking the extra step goes along way and we will be back!

We stay at this hotel when attending Pirates games. The hotel is beautiful, historic yet modern. It is located across the bridge from the North Shore and in the heart of the theater district. The rooms are beautiful, always clean and very roomy. All staff our kind and accommodating. We look forward to our stays at this landmark location.

We have season Pirate tickets and make it a point to spend at least one overnight trip following a concert each year. Since we couldn't find a room on the North Shore we reserved a King Room with a river view here. We arrived early and only a queen/ courtyard view was available at that time. But Mary at the... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Renaissance a number of times, and the place has always been great. Large rooms, a great lobby (it used to be a bank!), and a cool bar area. It is located in the heart of the cultural district, and a short walk across the nearby bridge over the Allegheny River takes you... More

The hotel is an older hotel however has updated recently. As such, the room was very small with not a lot of room to move around or put things. A walk across the bridge to PNC Stadium. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Parking can be difficult especially when events happening. The Valet parking at the hotel is... More
