This hotel is in a great historic fulton building, it is difficult to see the side entrance but you can't miss the building. This is a great location to walk to PNC Park or Heinz field and you have many great restaurants/bars to pick from very close to the front door. This front door is always manned by a doorman... More

Very Clean, Lovely Lobby, Very Friendly Staff. We stayed to see a show at the Heinz. The room was small but nice. The front desk clerk was very nice and accommodated our requests. his name was Matt, I believe and he was very welcoming. The linens and bed were very plush. We used the self-parking across the street and found... More

The Renaissance hotel is nice even though the building is very old. They have gone to great lengths to update the guest rooms with new baths, flat screen TVs, mini fridge, and in room safe. However you really can't change the footprint of the rooms, so some are quite small. They make up for that with the downtown location, newer... More

The Renaissance Pittsburgh is a part of the Marriott family but there is nothing corporate cookie-cutter about its look and feel. It has a rich history, formerly known as the Fulton Building, built by Henry Phipps, a one time partner of Andrew Carnegie. Its hollowed out arch is quite a sight, a can't miss when coming over from the North... More

There was nothing about this hotel that wasn't amazing. They acknowledged my allergy to feathers upon check-in. The room was perfect. The hotel staff was beyond helpful and even remembered me and my business group of friends from the last time we were there (which was about 18 months prior) One of my colleagues rooms wasn't ready when we went... As many have written the hotel in right across the river from both the baseball and football stadiums and down the street from Heinz hall. Close to downtown and then happenings in Pittsburgh. The service great and the room clean. I was in room 1105 and added a picture from the window. Food and drinks were great on the executive... More

The hotel facility is awesome, the staff makes it even that much better. I travel world wide for work and run across 1000's of humans during a year that work in the services industry. The People that work in this hotel , the restaurant and bars are down to earth and very friendly in a genuine way....I stayed there 2... More

This hotel is gorgeous, centrally located downtown close to everything. Rates are about what you would expect. Within walking distance to several very nice restaurants. Parking garage across the street. I would stay here again.

Took the girlfriend on an overnight trip to Pittsburgh to see a show. This was both a first Pitt trip for the two of us. I booked this hotel on Priceline, and got a really good deal. I called ahead and asked to be accomodated with a King bed and a room as high as they could put me, with... More

I wrote a review several months ago and gave it a four star, but having now stayed at several other properties in the area, and now the Renaissance again for about a month of Mon-Thurs visits, I will upgrade it to a 5 as I have really enjoyed it much better than many other hotels downtown, and feel that I...
