My husband stated at the Renaissance in 2010 and loved it, so we stayed there during our annual family vacation. The location is amazing - just across the Allegheny River from PNC Park, within wAlking distance of most attractions, and easy highway access. The building is a restored building with a gorgeous lobby (high ceilings, ornate stonework, huge curving staircases,... More

The room (2 queens) was quite large, bathroom a nice size. Had duvet covered in sheet so I know it is changed. Plenty of thick towels and a robe. Concierge level had standard amenities. Beautiful historical hotel at the riverfront, across river from PNC Park (Pirates) and you could hear the noise when things got exciting. The service is good.... More

Let me start by saying I have stayed here more than a hundred times....I travel to pgh regularly for work. The good: the staff are all very friendly and care about the guests. The door men and valets are great. The location is perfect for getting around PGH. There seems to be a steady decline in the maintenance of the... More

I booked this on Priceline and I am so glad I did. It is definitely not worth full price. I asked for a room away from the elevators and the ice machines and I was given a room across from BOTH. I changed rooms, and the next room was MUCH smaller. The staff is friendly and accommodating, but the rooms... More

Beautiful historical hotel with all the bells and whistles. The service is amazing and you truly feel like a guest when you stay. The rooms are spacious with beautiful views. The property is surprisingly quiet and located in the heart of great Pittsburgh entertainment! Try an evening concert at Stage AE and walk back across the bridge to take in... More

Just walking through the front doors you'll be impressed. You enter into a decadent, marble entryway with a grand staircase to your left. The second floor, where the meeting spaces are, has a balcony overlooking the downstairs sea of marble. Some nights you're greeted to jazz music being played live by a soloist in the corner, other nights it's old... More

We stayed in a suite for 5 nights, while there for a concert and to enjoy some other attractions. The cleanliness exceeded my expectations and believe me I am very OCD. Great customer service the way around, from reservations, to check-in, any staff that you would deal with for anything you need. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone... More

We recently spent a Friday night here. What a great atmosphere! The door staff are plentiful, friendly, & eager to help. We stayed in a 7th floor room with a great view over the rivers. The room was quite spacious & very clean. Seth at the front desk was very helpful, & spot on for a perfect suggestion for a nearby... First I'd like to say that we could only stay here cause they were honoring First responders and the military. The service was perfect and the rooms spotless. We had a beautiful view of the rivers from our room which was 1207. We had tickets to the steelers game, this hotel is with in walking distance to both Heinz field... More

Once a year I travel home to Pennsylvania for a weeks vacation. My best friend and I always do a girls night in Pittsburgh, stay over night, eat, drink, and go to The Rivers Casino. This year we stayed at the Renaissance downtown. Our gps lead us right o our destination. We chose to Valet the car even though I... More
