We stayed one night at this hotel on May 26 for our wedding anniversary. The building itself is a gorgeous old structure, lots of personality, in the theater district of the city. Ellen checked us in at the desk and was wonderfully sweet and helpful-- she even offered us free breakfast (room service included!) as an anniversary gift. How nice!... More

If it wasn't so ridiculously expensive, this would be a five. The renaissance hotel is right in the middle of down town, with close, but kind of expensive self parking and valet service. The front desk staff is friendly and the lobby is very nice. The corridors, elevators, and rooms are pretty old, but the hotel its self is very... More

I spent two very comfortable nights at the Renaissance Hotel in Pittsburgh the Thursday and Friday night before Mother's Day. The hotel was sold out but it never felt crowded. There are three elevators so waiting was never an issue. I had a very comfortable room on the 12th floor and the only thing that wasn't absolutely perfect about my... More

I recently stayed here for 2 nights at a rate of $309/night. Here are the pros and cons: PROS - It was located by the river, close to lots of restaurants. - My room was clean and spacious. - Free wifi - Gym in the hotel's basement had numerous treadmills, elliptical machines and a well stocked free weight section. CONS... More

This hotel is stunning! The lobby, restaurant, and commons areas are beautiful and open. The rooms are spacious, clean, and updated. The hotel is a perfect option if you are looking to stay in the cultural district, or if you want quick walking access to the ballpark and stadium. The staff were great as well- very profressional and friendly. More

PROS: The hotel itself is a quite nice renovation of an old building and the location is excellent for downtown or the ball parks and close to all the bus routes. There are lovely walks nearby by the river. The room we got for 4 nights had a nice partial view of the river and was spacious and comfortable, with... More

Beautiful lobby, but rooms are no nicer than a standard Marriott (actually the Marriott might be a little nicer). The front desk was pleasant, and we were able to immediately check in upon arrival (around 3 o’clock). My only complaint is with the concierge. We called down and asked for a cab. They said no problem we’ll have a ride... More

we came in at 3 pm, but we had to wait till 4 because the rooms where not ready. No effort to find am available room for us. Check out is at 11.00 am. When I asked after 3 days to have a late check out, 12.00 was the latest possible. No flexibilty at all, this place has clearly bad... More

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. The location is very close to the riverfront but what confused me was all the pictures of the property show it as being right on the riverfront but it is not. The front is flush with all the other building in the theater district so finding... More
