My wife and I have stayed here many times. Funny part is we live in Pittsburgh. We have our pick of hotels in the city and we come to the Renaissance every time. It's a big old building that is very nice. They work very hard to bring comfort and technology to the hotel. Food is good in the hotel.... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here during a visit to Pittsburgh, where I grew up. We got a great deal through Priceline, which normally means the crappiest room in the place... not so here. Or, if it was, I wouldn't have known! Although plain (no frills), the room was spacious (with super high ceilings) and clean with an extremely comfortable... More

You know it is a great hotel, when you can sleep like if you were home. The room was near the elevator on the 5th floor and at first we thought it might be disruptive but it worked out fine. The ice machine was also next to the room but it wasn't bad at all especially considering that we got... More

Located in the former Robert Fulton Steamship Headquarter, this is a hotel with charm and great views. Located right on the river if you are able to get a riverfront view you can look into PNC stadium and see Heinz field from your room. A bit pricey, but a cool place to stay.

My boyfriend and I traveled to Pittsburgh for a day to attend a wedding at the First Presbyterian Church and reception at PNC park. The hotel was so convenient to both locations and we would have been able to walk to everything had I not been wearing sky high heels! The airport was around a 20 minute ride and we... More

This is a grand old building that has been nicely renovated. We splurged for a room with a view on PNC Park and wow it was worth it! The whiskey punch at the hotel bar is also not to be missed! Its a great spot to have a drink before heading out to dinner!

This hotel is magnificent. The architecture is unbelievable. Front desk workers were absolutely wonderful. Room was big, bright and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Had breakfast buffet in lobby. Delicious but a little pricy. Very close to PCN park and other tourist places to visit. The reason I gave it a very good and not excellent review because the price... This is my second week of a business trip staying at the Renaissance Hotel. The staff is very attentive from John our greeter, Brian the bellman, Jessica, Laura front desk and Seth our Ambassador . They are knowledgeable about the area and where to go and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are... More

A bit expensive? Yes. Worth it? Every penny! First off the staff goes out of their way to please. Always pleasant, no frowns to be found. Ask for a room on the top floor as we did. you get extras not told about. Free breakfast Monday through Friday, snacks and also an "honesty bar", sodas and snacks and newspapers free... More

Very randomly we decided to take a mini-vacation the 4th of July weekend. Being from Buffalo, we didn't want to travel too far and decided on Pittsburgh. Hotels were pretty booked, but Marriott was great and found me a room at the Renaissance and we were not disappointed. The website and pictures don't do the place justice because it is... More
