I stayed here this past Saturday I was with some members of my cycling group to do some riding and brew hopping for the weekend. The location was perfect, right on the GAP trail. We arrived in the morning so were not able to check in at that time but they did give us a pass for parking so we... More

It is clean and a nice place all in all. The trains that run on the one side are way too loud and kept waking g me up. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice as well. I really found it unrealistic that they charged for parking, especially 14.00.

My husband and I traveled to Pittsburgh for one night to see a Pirates game. Since we were only staying for one night, our priorities were proximity to the ballpark, price and safety. Price: Unfortunately, prices for Memorial Day weekend were outrageous! We utilized Priceline and still payed way too much for this hotel at $150 a night. I would... More

My colleague booked this hotel for one night so I did not do the usual check trip advisor. There is a freight train right next to the hotel which runs all night.I could cope with this as I use to live by a railway station when I was younger. However just before it goes into the tunnel some of the... More

My wife and had to visit Pittsburgh for business, however, we decided to take advantage of the trip and spend a couple of days knowing the city. We decided to stay on the SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh Southside Works based on what looked like pretty good location (river front, near downtown, close to several attractions) and because it was fairly new,... This appears to be a newer hotel located in a great part of Pittsburg called Southside Works. It's about 3 miles from downtown, and Southside Works is where the former Steel mills were located. It's now a really great, hip, walkable area with excellent restaurants and shopping. Right across the street from the hotel is a beautiful walking/cycling trail that... More

But the back half will please only the train spotters among us. Liked the staff, liked the room--a great place for the business traveler--and liked the proximity to my meeting in Pittsburgh. The hotel is within an easy walk of a good selection of restaurants, though a small urban desert of new but unleased buildings intervenes. Sure, the mattress was... More

This hotel was lovely with only one hitch which I knew ahead of time. The back of it is right next to the railroad tracks. Knowing this, I requested a room in the front which was perfect and had a wonderful view of the river, and we were not bothered by any noise. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable.... More

On one side of the hotel, the trains go by probably every 20 min or so, sometimes more, sometimes less. At times, the windows shook. Having said, we gave 4 stars because the front desk staff (Sam and Lauren) were amazing in moving us to a quieter room - even when it was a fully packed weekend. We were pleased... More

Overall it was very nice. The room was very clean. There were 4 of us in a room with 2 queen beds, a pull out couch and kitchenette. The pullout couch is not the greatest...but wasn't expecting much from that. Continental breakfast was good, eggs, cereals, coffee, fruits, etc.. We drove into downtown Pittsburgh in less than 5 minutes, and... More
