We recently spent several days in Pittsburgh and found the Inn on the Mexican War Streets an ideal location since we could walk to many of the places we wanted to visit (Warhol Museum, National Aviary, and the ball park) and had only a short drive (15-20 minutes) to all others. We very much enjoyed using the common areas--most particularly... More

My wife and I spent one night in the Boggs Room. In fact, we were the only guests in the Inn. The Inn's location is fine, even if the neighborhood remains a bit "transitional". It is a walkable distance to the stadium and downtown, but I probably wouldn't do it after dark. The original suggestion was to park our car... More

My extended family was in Pittsburgh for a family wedding. All of my family stayed in a local hotel near the wedding and reception. Due to fact that I am a B & B kind of girl we chose to stay at the Inn. Even though our drive was more complicated than what the other family members had, I would... More

Place was great, not that gaudily decorated like some B&B's can be. We stayed in Mrs Boggs room, room was huge and clean, a little traffic noise from the street but not bad really, I am extremely noise sensitive. Breakfast was the not the traditional B&B breakfast, more like continental breakfast with waffle machine. Considering room was not much more... More

If you are going through Pittsburgh check this place out. Really cool old building, that was redone by current owners. This locations is across from a nice park and close to the city. It's all about feeling welcomed and this place definitely did. Go to the irish pub around corner and get the wings. Enjoy Pittsburgh!

We stayed in the Red Room on Friday May 16, 2014. Room is cozy and well appointed, draped cloth around the bed perimeter, ceiling fan, plenty of storage areas and a nice bathroom. We looked at Mr. & Mrs. Boggs rooms when we checked in and like those for future visits. Breakfast is served in very nice room with a... More

My wife stayed overnight at this lovely inn while in Pittsburgh. Excellent location close to PNC Park and downtown. Wish we could have stayed longer. The place is well kept and pleasingly casual. The owners are very knowledgeable of the area and very helpful. I don't like driving in Pittsburgh because the rivers and bridges make it so hard to... More

Pros: Location location Location! Very interesting historical Inn. Across from the park which was great for our toddler- and we had a wonderful visit to the National Aviary. Cons: Heater in Mr BOggs room did not work. Told the owner and turned the hallway thermostat up to 70F- NOT 80F just 70F! Would wake up in the morning totally stiff... More

My son and I stayed in this beautiful B&B on a recent trip to Pittsburgh. The hosts were exceptional and they were more than helpful with advice on parking, getting around town and places to visit. The room was very comfortable with lots of room and the common areas were stunning. If I ever get another chance to visit Pittsburgh,... More

We stayed here for our anniversary on Dec 20 & 21, 2013. It is a beautiful B&B. We stayed in the Mr Boggs Suite which was very roomy and has a great view of the park and the Pgh skyline. When we arrived, Jeff met us and shared so much about the area. Gave us great tips on where to... More
