This was our first time in Pittsburgh and the Inn was a perfect place to get a feel for the city. The Inn is quiet, our room was huge, there was parking on the street. Nice park across the street. Walking distance to the National Aviary, the best aviary we have every seen. Karl was our host, and he cheerfully... More

Beautifully kept with very friendly staff. A great place to retire after a days touring. We were travelling at the time and decided to spoil ourselves. The inn on the mexican war street did not dissapoint. Recommended

You can walk to downtown about one mile away and the Pirates ballpark is literally a ten minute walk. At night you may be a little uncomfortable depending on where you walk but there are good restaurants nearby that are indeed walkable within five to ten minutes.

I stayed at the Inn while attending a week long workshop at the Pittsburgh Children's Museum and it was wonderful! Clean, comfortable, and convenient to the Children's Museum as well as several others. Jeff, the owner, is very gracious and kind. I would definitely stay here again. Oh, I forgot to mention that this is one gorgeous B&B!

We stayed for a friends wedding at the National Aviary which is directly across the street. The bridal party had most of the rooms booked so it felt like our very own mansion for the weekend! The building is gorgeous. After looking through the photo album of the renovations you can tell how much work was put into the Inn.... More

We recently spent several days in Pittsburgh and found the Inn on the Mexican War Streets an ideal location since we could walk to many of the places we wanted to visit (Warhol Museum, National Aviary, and the ball park) and had only a short drive (15-20 minutes) to all others. We very much enjoyed using the common areas--most particularly... More

My wife and I spent one night in the Boggs Room. In fact, we were the only guests in the Inn. The Inn's location is fine, even if the neighborhood remains a bit "transitional". It is a walkable distance to the stadium and downtown, but I probably wouldn't do it after dark. The original suggestion was to park our car... More

My extended family was in Pittsburgh for a family wedding. All of my family stayed in a local hotel near the wedding and reception. Due to fact that I am a B & B kind of girl we chose to stay at the Inn. Even though our drive was more complicated than what the other family members had, I would... More

Place was great, not that gaudily decorated like some B&B's can be. We stayed in Mrs Boggs room, room was huge and clean, a little traffic noise from the street but not bad really, I am extremely noise sensitive. Breakfast was the not the traditional B&B breakfast, more like continental breakfast with waffle machine. Considering room was not much more... More

If you are going through Pittsburgh check this place out. Really cool old building, that was redone by current owners. This locations is across from a nice park and close to the city. It's all about feeling welcomed and this place definitely did. Go to the irish pub around corner and get the wings. Enjoy Pittsburgh!
